Is it Just Me or Are Quick Counts Almost Always 1-1 in MLB The Show 24?

I have always used quick counts ever since they added it to the game. This year bizarrely it always seems like I am getting a 1-1 count. Is anyone else having this experience?

I’ve gotten 3-1, 2-1, etc., but 1-1 is the norm.

That seems new this year because I remember always getting any random pitch count as the standard. It seems like 1-1 is the actual standard now which I hate. I might as well not use it this year. I don't know why they changed it for people who like it being random.

I’ve used it a couple times. To tell you the truth I stopped and won’t go back. Seems you miss some presentation. It really doesn’t take that much longer to play a full game. If you’re playing multi games a day I can understand.

Since we can't change the number of games to play in a Franchise I prefer the variety quick counts to speed the game up some so I can try to fit in 4 or 5 games in my day. I didn't know I was missing out on a lot of presentation stuff. If I knew that I wouldn't have played quick counts. Thank you very much for letting me know. Definitely will switch then. Presentation is extremely important to me which is why I'm always let down by EA games.

I've played both, quick counts on and off.

Not sure what presentations you miss with quick counts on.

The key is not to push the button to click through them, as some seem tide together

I’m getting varied counts and as far as I know it’s never been truly random and 1-1 has always been the most common starting count in every version.

At least that’s my remembrance, as nothing seems unusual about it this year versus others.

I think for keeping overall pitch count down, majority of counts starting 1-1 is a good thing.

Have they fixed the 'quick counts' bug from last year that would elevate the pitch counts too quickly?

                  Nope.

I will say though that the AI manager on default settings is better at keeping SPs in the game longer than in v23. I always knew in v23 if a pitcher ended the inning on “yellow” stamina, the reliever was coming in next inning no matter what. I’ve had some instances when the AI pitcher is absolutely dominating me and the CPU keeps him in to continue pitching.

But, it’s still probably best handled with slider adjustments. I’ve got AI and Human starter stamina up to 8 at the moment. I may try it at 10, as in probably 15 to 20 games played out I haven’t had any complete games. Deepest I’ve had a pitcher go is 7.2 I think.

The way it should be implemented is there be an developer approved default setting, and then allow the end user to decide what percentage they want any one of the counts to appear. Like even 0-0, could be 1%, or 2-2 say, 30 %.
