If I've jumped in here inappropriately by starting a new thread too soon, just delete this one and proceed as usual. Really curious what this might contain. I'm guessing at least the Augusta Par 3 course.

EA Sports PGA Tour New Update File 4/2 ver. 1.000.020
Not sure what this is yet, it popped up unexpectedly early this morning (4/2). 8.4GB. Downloading it now.

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour New Update File 4/2 ver. 1.000.020
Mine has just downloaded and fired it up
Quick Look reveals the following:
New Pro Pass - pretty standard stuff, not much screaming out
New 2024 Clubs in the Shop - spotted the TaylorMade QI10
But the BIGGEST thing - Pinehurst No 2, Valhalla and Royal Troon are now all in the game! Nice stealth drop EA! -

I've just starting poking around in the game, the Augusta Par 3 is definitely in here, but the only place I can find it so far is the very last course selection in Quick Play.
I haven't noticed anything else new from the update yet.Comment

I'm playing the Augusta Par 3 course against AI Scheffler at the moment.Comment

Not in Career mode - just the Play Now menu - think you'll probably have to start a new career for them to appear, based on MrArlingtonBeach's comments yesterday on the other thread. Yet to see that confirmed thoughComment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour New Update File 4/2 ver. 1.000.020
That's pretty cool, that he's in the game and his clubs are there. I almost exclusively play online Match and Foursome play, but this is a pretty impressive update, mainly because of Pinehurst No. 2, Valhalla and Royal Troon. It's going to be fun playing those courses in any game mode, and I assume they will show up randomly in online play as well.
Definitely more than I was expecting from EA in advance of the Masters. This game is not quite the Dead Parrot I thought it was. Hopefully there's gameplay tweaks in this as well, or coming soon.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour New Update File 4/2 ver. 1.000.020
For some reason I just now got the "Season 11 Is Live" note in the game.
Challenges mode has been updated with two new Challenge series--Drive Chip & Putt, and the "Jack Nicklaus" challenges. It says, "...showcase the history of the Golden Bear, featuring some of the best rounds from his Major Championship victories and a variety of other memorable moments from his legendary career."
Ok, THAT has me interested. Jack and Arnold are my two favorites of all time. I'm definitely diving in to those Jack challenges.
Pretty impressed with this drop.
EDIT: I searched for a long time, but the Jack Challenges are under Challenges/SpotlightsLast edited by golfnut67; 04-02-2024, 06:41 AM.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour New Update File 4/2 ver. 1.000.020
I wasn't expecting any of this other than the Par 3 Augusta course, which will be fun once or twice.
I'm playing Jack's Challenge from 1973 at Royal Troon where he shot a 65. This is a really cool thing they've added here. Vintage clothes and clubs. First shot was with a funky looking "7 Driver". I have a pretty good collection of Persimmon clubs that look just like the ones that he's using.
He's wearing his more 80s era (I think?) green and white striped shirt with the white pants. (Edit, I just looked it up, I should have remembered...it's the outfit he wore during the final round of the '75 Masters)
Swing and especially putting looks pretty spot on. He's hunched over the putt like he's trying to find a diamond in the grass haha.
This is fun.Last edited by golfnut67; 04-02-2024, 07:32 AM.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour New Update File 4/2 ver. 1.000.020
So I’m currently on season 2 of a career, and this seasons open venue is at Andrews.
Does anyone know, will the new courses appear next season in my career then? Or do I have to completely restart career for them to appear in it?Last edited by Jambomakaveli; 04-02-2024, 08:18 AM.Comment
