Do you think we will get to delete the PAC12?

I know they mentioned we can rebuild it, so obviously we will have conference realignment, but do you think they’ll allow us to delete the conference entirely, as we haven’t been able to in the past.

Hope not. The world should be forced to keep the P12 alive after the networks conspired to destroy it. They're exploring options to merge with the MW, and retain the PAC name, and also bringing up FCS schools.

I'm mostly kidding (still extremely bitter about the end of the conference I've known my entire life) but I have a feeling the conferences won't be deleteable since they have paid to license them. We've had no confirmation though. Only that you can rebuild some legacy conferences.

Great question. We will have to rebuild the Pac-12 in Dynasty mode if we cannot delete the conference. I don't expect the NCAA to allow the conference to exist as a 2-team conference after 2024-2025 academic year... expand or fold. I would also be surprised if the Pac-12 can regain P5 status because there are not enough top quality G5 teams to add to Wazzu and Oregon State to revitalize a Power conference.

Yeah it won't be a power conference again. But I can see a world where they absorb the MW and keep the name. Add teams from FCS like Idaho, if they want to come back up again (given their recent successes) or other Big Sky teams. The academic and research university standards the PAC used to have obviously have to be thrown out the window (which they should have a long time ago, because we should have added teams like BYU/Boise State/San Diego State/etc ages ago).

Just don’t think there’s enough teams to make both work unless you pull back the schools that left, which personally I wouldn’t do, but I know some will.

Yeah it's certainly something they should address. Cause it is a bit of a conundrum. Could be resolved by the time the next iteration of the game rolls around. Though there is talk of the PAC2 negotiating an 'alliance' with the Sun Belt for scheduling in 2025.

Yeah I'm definitely pulling back the schools that left. West coast teams don't belong in the ACC or Big 10 IMO.

I'm confused on how Custom Conferences work if the real life future schedules are included in the game. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding and custom conferences work the same as as always.

We'll win the Big 10 this year and show y'all that we do. But if you mean geographically, then sure I agree lol.

There are enough teams to add 10 to the Pac-12 from the G5, but it would not make a power conference.


American has 14 teams. Memphis, Tulane, and UTSA are probably the top 3.


C-USA has 10 teams (need 8). Liberty is probably the only realistic consideration.


MAC has 12 teams. Toledo and Miami are probably the only two.


Mountain West has 12 teams. Boise, Fresno, and perhaps UNLV.


Sun Belt has 14 schools. James Madison, App State, and Troy are the only ones I think are worth considering.


So, there are enough teams to rebuild the Pac-12 to 12 teams and create what would be the 5th best conference.

The real life future schedules implemented in the game are OOC games that have already been scheduled as well as your conference rivalry games being on a regular weekend (like the Iron Bowl is always the last game). So let's say we move Florida State from the ACC to the Big 12 for 2025 and they will still play Alabama, Texas A&M Commerce, Kent State, and Florida OOC. If they need to go from an 8 to a 9 game schedule, they'd remove Texas A&M Commerce.

I'm curious about this as well. Here's what I'm doing if we can delete the Pac 12. My approach is to accept the overall reality of the Pac 12 folding and geography going out the window, but with a few tweaks to make it more palatable. Also, bringing back divisions to help scheduling (geographically close teams playing each other more often).
