Very curious to hear more about the season-long storylines feature, especially if it will enable actually developing a rookie quarterback by sitting him on the bench behind a veteran (the example given in the interview).

In basically every Madden game ever, the optimal way to develop a rookie QB is to get him on the field immediately at the expense of all else. If there are other viable gameplay paths for that now, that's an unambiguous positive.

In basically every Madden game ever, the optimal way to develop a rookie QB is to get him on the field immediately at the expense of all else. If there are other viable gameplay paths for that now, that's an unambiguous positive.

That'll definitely be a decision that I'll have to make regarding Drake Maye in my New England Patriots Franchise. Do I start him from Day 1 or sit him for a season and let Brissett start with year 1 pretty much being a throw away?

Great to have Josh back in the mix. Liked hearing about extra benefits for not playing a rookie QB. Only hung that sounds disappointing is when he mentions immersion he brings up storylines and your team. Will CPU have these as well. Will we ever know about them. Immersion to me is being engulfed into the whole franchise, just not my team.

I imagine that both Madden and CFB started doing remote recordings around the same time. I heard somewhere that they did over 170 hours of recording. CfB has a ton more hours of lines, but that's because they're dealing with 134 teams compared to 32 teams

As a Sixers fan, it's cool to see Kate Scott get this opportunity. Even though the Sixers broadcast duo got ranked very low, Kate Scott is cool. They just get too homerish and biased

A lot of the upgrades to Franchise mode presentation seems to be inspired by Manager mode in EA FC. I think they are going to use the same type of cut scenes that you see when you sign a new player in EA FC or have to negotiate a transfer.

I'm glad that the Madden team realized that having an actual cut scene for events like this makes the event seem more eventful rather then just having some text to tell you what happened.
