Re: WWE Money In The Bank 7/6/24

Excited for another PLE in Toronto. First one since 2019 and only 3rd one since 2007 (one of many reasons I like this new era, WWE the last 2 years has done things on and off screen we rarely if ever saw, especially when it comes to international events which from 2010-2015 they had some sort of issue with leaving the US for any PPV, might have been longest stretch in WWE history with no non US PPV)

As for the matches, we have the 2 MITB matches and WHC confirmed. What else might we see? Feels like Liv is just waiting for Rhea to return, nobody else is feuding with her. What is Bayley doing on the SD side?

For sure it's gonna be Orton,KO vs 2 of the Tongans, but now the question is if Cody/Solo are part of the match as a 6 man tag or do we just get Cody vs Solo?

Logan Paul vs LA Knight has to be happening at MITB right? Unless they're holding off for Summerslam since it's in Cleveland.

Gable died but not really but seems like he's done with going after Zayn for now?

Jey apparently having issues at the border.

Canada has a stricter law when it comes to people crossing the border with a criminal record. During elimination chamber last year he got in, but I remember during the Bloodline segment one time Heyman told Reigns about "trouble at the border" which is why the Usos weren't there, which was technically true (they didn't have trouble, wwe just kept them off TV so they wouldn't have to try crossing the border).

Although, does Booker show up for NXT too? Or is Barrett jumping in again for that one.

Are there mystery entrants for each of the MITB matches or are there still qualifying matches tomorrow for the TBD spots? It's hard to pick a winner for the men's with the five listed. LA Knight and Jey are the only guys I could see as winners but I'm assuming Logan Paul costs Knight the match and I could see the Bloodline costing Jey if the plan is an eventual Bloodline vs Bloodline feud. Hopefully Chelsea or Stratton win the women's

          All spots are filled.

The men's one is interesting because literally anyone can get screwed, but wouldn't it be too repetitive?

Punk costing McIntyre is the most obvious one.

Logan could easily come in and cost LA Knight.

Do the Wyatt's go after Gable (or Jey)?

Jey is my pick for that, although what if we get a curveball thrown and Punk either helps McIntyre win or McIntyre just wins. Vince booking at its finest if Drew wins the MITB, cashes in on Rollins or Priest, and Punk just costs Drew that match. But at the same time, Jeys the only other one I could see winning that would make sense.

Women's side, it better be Tiffany or Chelsea. Lyra like Melo on the men's side would feel too soon. Zoey like Andrade should have no chance.

I could see Rollins winning the title because him vs Gunther makes way more sense than Priest vs Gunther.

Zayn vs Bron could go either way. If they want Bron as a heel though, beating Zayn in Canada will do that.

6 man tag, anything can happen, I just found out Rikishi has ANOTHER kid in wrestling too.

People waiting outside of Cody Rhodes bus just to see him (he had to park at street level and security are all out there too).

Also fun seeing these sights around town again. Not as big a feel as Summerslam. The city really lacked this time around for what should've been a bigger event outside of the actual shows. No meet and greets or fan axxess/wwe world or any of that. Even the store they set up is just in some small spot hidden away instead of taking over a whole building like they did for summerslam

Seeing all the Cody Rhodes merch and how he's the guy they gave the local sports team collab to makes me realize this is the first time in almost a decade with no Edge or Trish on a Toronto card. Trish will be the host of MITB (I completely forgot she was part of the VIP meet and greet too, and seems like so did WWE) but that still isn't a match.

Looks like what I heard was true. MITB Kickoff is happening INDOORS.

They're holding it literally on the other side of the doors to the arena. For anyone who doesn't know, that's a fairly small space with not much room for this kind of crowd.

Meanwhile on the other side of the door is Maple Leaf Square/Jurassic park which you all have probably seen clips of from those outdoor playoff games which can hold probably a thousand people if not more.

As much as I'm excited for this whole weekend, I've been real disappointed in how the organizers over here have done this event. I know it'll do huge money wise, but I wouldn't be surprised if WWE people aren't happy with stuff going on.

Arena is running at almost 75% concessions/washroom availability due to construction and the gates to get in/out are limited due to the construction too. No store in the arena to sell stuff either since that's shut down so it's just small stands here and there. That's why they advertised the "WWE Store" down the road from the arena because they weren't even allowed using the arena store. I checked out that other location and it's literally just a store in a sportsbar basically.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is the last PLE we see in Toronto for maybe another 5 years unless the next one is at the Rogers Centre for the Rumble. Given how good Perth and Lyon and Scotland did theirs, this one isn't close to those.

                *Fans cheer for Chelsea*

Cole: Even I get cheered in my hometown.

Me: She's from (a few provinces west of) Winnipeg you idiot!

Gable: Where were you when the Wyatt's came out?

Jey: I was hiding under the ring!

He's not lying, he actually was.

Weird decision, WWE telling fans to wear white tomorrow for a whiteout. I'm sure some will, but most merch they're selling for this show isn't white, and people showing up in team jerseys will be primarily blue.

Chelsea says she's gonna get the briefcase without climbing a ladder....I want to see how this goes down. What is she gonna do, throw a basketball at it?

So Jey did make it across the border and is at MITB. I mean its on Jey for his issues but it would have sucked that they wouldn't let him in at a time that he's about to potentially become World Champion through the briefcase and had to be replaced last second.

Well it's Canada, I'm just going to assume she will take a hockey stick and swing at it like it's a pinata until it falls down. Or maybe she'll ask the Blue Jays to borrow a Baseball bat.... idk.

I could definitely see a hockey stick coming into play too.

Re: WWE Money In The Bank 7/6/24

Let's Go! I'm excited for this event. Predictions:

                      - Men's MITB Match: Chad Gable. Every participant has someone who could interfere and take them out. I still think the Wyatts attack Jey and not Chad and go after him. Or they could have Bloodline Wolfpac take him out to further set up Roman's and Jimmy's return. LA Knight is cancelled out by Logan Paul and the US Title. Carmelo, you risk an Austin Theory situation by putting it on him too soon. Andrade really has no heat, and of course there is DM Hunk who has to worry if Punk made it across the border. So yeah, Chad Gable wins it and becomes Master In The Bank.

                      - Women's MITB: Chelsea Green. Her character is too perfect for the Briefcase. Otherwise, I can see Tiffany Stratton winning.

                      - Seth vs Damian: I've picked Damian to lose the last two PLEs, so I'm taking Damian here. Meaning he'll probably lose lol. Will Finn potentially cost him the title? Will Judgment Day turn on him even if he retains?

                      - Sami Zayn vs Bron Breakker: Sami by DQ as I expect either Bron will get himself Disqualified, or Ludwig and Sheamus get involved ending in a no contest.

                      - Cody/KO/Orton vs Bloodline Wolfpac: Solo pins Cody and gets the Championship match against Cody at Summerslam. Could we see Roman tonight to pop the crowd or will it be at Summerslam?
