    Start Dynasty as an OC/DC

So who is starting their dynasty off as a OC/DC and does that effect which team your going to jump off with? I am torn between taking over for Craig Bohl at Wyoming or being a DC for Army and work my way up. What your thoughts and/or plans? It's almost here!!

My small school dynasty will start with me as a coordinator. I haven't chosen the side of ball I will start with yet. The custom playbook system will dictate that. If it is the same garbage as Madden, then I will be a DC. If it is user friendly and actually works like NCAA 14, then I will start as an OC.

I haven't decided on a school yet. May do a TeamBuilder here and start as the coordinator at either my alma mater or my wife's.

I'm considering it greatly. But, i really want to start off as a HC at Georgia Southern with my background being defense and an emphasis on the trenches. Tactician will be my Archetype and then hire my OC/DC to compliment me. If I end up getting fired, then I think my next job I'd go after would be as a DC to "prove" that I deserve another shot at a head coaching job.

I plan on starting as an OC at Sam Houston. Work my way through a few better coordinator positions then as a HC for the first Big Ten team to have me. Then I’ll settle down and just focus on building it to be a power.

I assume I’ll be hired at one of the worst big ten schools. I can’t imagine Ohio st hiring a small school OC as a HC any time soon 🤣

The allure of watching my school with my colors and logo is too much to resist. The fact that you can be a coordinator tells me coach mode must be in the game.

This is really my favorite part about the deep dive. Starting as an OC/DC and getting to a point where you are good enough to get offered a HC job somewhere that matches up with your style/strengths will be so cool. Will maybe even lead to being the HC of a team that I never even considered using. Will def up the immersion factor

I'm doing a coordinator dynasty with my Teambuilder dynasty. I want to lean towards being a DC, but I feel it might be "easier" to start as a OC. I want to stay at that school and get promoted to HC

I'm leaning towards having all the coaches being a Recruiters. I want to start as a 1 star school. So, I want to get a quick influx talent.

It is cool that they have the Broyles award for best Coordinator. I can imagine that there might be a goal to win the Broyles Award. That would be a goal of mine before I become a HC

Re: Start Dynasty as an OC/DC

OC and DC do full recruiting and can play both sides of the ball so the real impact is going to be what buffs you can apply to your side of the ball.

I’m a Marshall and VT fan which works out really well. Marshall is a 2* so starting as OC there doesn’t feel unearned. I’ll jump from there to the first HC job I can get, with a long term goal of getting to VT.

When you start your coaching career as an OC/DC, I wonder how easy/difficult it will be to land a HC job assuming our team has some success.

I wonder what the HC offers will be and how many…going to be such an exciting year of dynasty!

I'm considering starting as OC but undecided between that and HC. That said, this might be the first game since Madden 17 that I actually play defense rather than sim it, depending on how the gameplay is.

I wonder what will happen if you're OC/DC and your HC gets fired or leaves and they don't offer you the job, what happens to you. Do you just stick on with the new coach since your contract isn't up or do you get fired?

I want to start as 1 star DC for my TB team and want to get promoted to the HC. But, I don't want a situation where I get fired before there's a new HC.

In my universe Jim Bob Cooter is leaving NFL's Indianapolis Colts and taking the Army OC.
Today happens to be his 40th birthday. I would like to take him 30 years thru his 70th birthday but I don't know if I can get that many years in. Still, hoping to land him in Syracuse eventually. We shall see.
