Recommended PCs for NBA 2K?

Hey y'all,

With the news that NBA 2K25 will be next-gen on PC, I decided it is only right to make the jump to PC given the amazing mods that I can only imagine will be available.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good gaming PC that can run this game and won't break the bank? I just want to be able to play NBA 2K25 smoothly without any crashes while also hooking it up to my 4K tv. I tried playing 2K years ago on my old PC but eventually bugs and frequent crashes made it unplayable.

If anyone has any recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

The Steam page ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/2878980 ) isn't live yet, so we don't know what the specs are, but I don't think 2K is anything special. Just Google around or look at Reddit for recent gaming PC recommendations.

Thanks to the OP for making this thread. I currently have an entry level Gaming PC and I have the minimum specs to run the game. But, I want to run this and Madden 25 on high/ultra while enjoying all of the great mods these guys do. So, any recommendations on graphics cards, processors etc would be greatly appreciated.

guys, also keep in mind that you can make use of AI upscaling technology (dlss for nvidia, fsr for AMD) meaning you render the game on a lower Resolution and let your gpu upscale it to your actual Monitor Resolution. this needs much less gpu Power that you would on native Resolution.

But I thought 2k would have to offer an option in game for these options, have they said anything about any upscaling methods being in game for 2k25?

ai upscaling techniques are nowadays also implemented in your GPU driver software. while it of course works best and gives the best results if the game supports it natively meaning the developer optimized AI upscaling for this game (one very good example for this would be cyberpunk), you can just activate it through your GPU driver software for every game.

Just a crappy video I made showing 2K24 running on my Legion Go this morning. I'm sure 2k25 will have similar results.

My CPU is ok, i7 13700HX

But i have a RTX 4050 6GB and recommended is RTX 2070 8GB, this GPU is about 20/30% better than mine... Hope i can play 2K25 on my Predator on high 1440p.

FIFA 23, EA FC 24 runs 100% at 1440p ULTRA.

NBA 2K is more CPU or GPU gamming?
