The Dilemma Of What To Do First

I thought I would get right to work with setting up my dynasty. But, this game looks so good, I may spend the first day just taking pics and video clips. I also want to play H2H a couple of times just to get my feet wet and see how it feels to play college football again against competition. Then I want to see all of the stadiums, entrances etc.

What is a man supposed to do with all of this goodness? I'm going to apologize to my family in advance.

No doubt. After 11 years we are overburdened by choice.

I’m jumping into play now just to play skein games and get a feel for the gameplay while experiencing all the presentation.

First thing I'm doing is checking out the playbook creation system to see if it's new or the same as Madden's.

Hopefully it is new.

Then I'll go straight into Play Now and will get a feel for the game. Will also be ironing out sliders.

Gonna continue ironing out sliders while keeping an eye on these boards to see what peoole are saying about sim stats and all that.

What I'm doing first is tinkering with recruiting with small schools vs big schools. What strategy works best for each and figuring out work arounds if needed regarding the number lock issue (hopefully that's patched upon release)

If it's not patched, I'll start my RTG with a RB and MLB.

First thing I'm doing is looking through the uniforms and stadiums of the teams I want to start my dynasty and then hopping right in!


I'll circle back and play some big rivalry games after that.

Planning on jumping straight into Bama @ LSU in Tiger Stadium at night and playing a few more games in play now to see other stadiums/traditions before starting my LSU dynasty.

Same thing I do with every college football game - hop into a quick match as VT and play a rivalry game against UVA.

I think I’m gonna do a quick play now game (maybe PSU vs Akron) to get a feel for a gameplay against a lesser opponent. Then jumping straight into a test PSU dynasty to get a feel for recruiting

First thing, I'll do is make a custom playbook, ideally upload my Teambuilder team and do a couple H2Hs and get a feel of playbook. Then do a RTG. I couldn't justify to myself to pay $30 extra for early release. Especially since I wasn’t going to take time off to play a game. I work next weekend. I really won't be able to fully dive into the game until the following weekend

I want to see if I can create a playbook. If I can do that then I will and start an offensive or defensive coordinator dynasty at San Diego State University. Which ever side is lacking. This will be my rags to riches dynasty, so I'll plenty of time. Probably play 1 game of this because I'll get distracted....
Then I'll probably start a 2 Star QB Road to Glory to kind of mimic a freshman QB learning how to pass and read college defenses (I.e become proficient with passing mechanics).

I plan on playing this game for years and years to come, don't want to blow my load on the first week.

I'm sure I'll buy the game eventually, and when I do I'm gonna play a home game with Marshall to see the stadium and the atmosphere. If that hooks me, then I'll look for ways to have fun with the game.

I always loved historic rosters, and it's all but officially confirmed in plain black-and-white press release from EA that I won't be able to do that this year. So maybe I'll do an RTG if they let me create just one historical player, and I can suspend my disbelief just enough to imagine this player playing with 2024 teammates. At least I'll save all that time creating the rosters.
