Heisman difficulty looks easier in 25 than 14

Admittedly I used coach mode and didn't control the players but this guy took Colorado to the quarter finals in his first season.

I would have had trouble winning 1 game on that difficulty in 14 with the roster he has.

With the right slider settings, you can offset the generic heisman difficulty. Just have to find that fine line of balance to your unique play style and skill level.

Maybe turning down the speed will make a difference.

Colorado is one of the best teams in the game so it's not like he took Marshall to the quarterfinals.

I don't think there's a game speed slider in CFB because there's been no mention of it.

One thing to remember about Colorado. Even though they are a 3 star program in the game (which itself is a bit odd considering they have like 2 winning seasons in the past 20), their team ratings in the game rank in the top 20 in both offense and defense (iirc correctly). As far as the game is concerned, they have a pretty solid starting roster.

Exactly this. They’re like the 13th best team in the game by overall. Is that insane? Yes. But it is what it is.

I guess I'll find out on Friday. I planned to use all American difficulty like I did in 14. I want the difficulty that gives no advantage to user or CPU in coach mode. In 14 Heisman was unusable for me in coach mode. If it's usable now I'll use it.

I hope Heisman level is tough, but fair

If I have Florida, I want to be able to play regular sim ball and whip on a low tier team. But if I play a Georgia, I expect to lose if I don’t play my A game, and or get a few breaks.

If it’s like Madden, where they make AI all-pro too easy but AI all-madden cheat, I’ll be very sad

I agree 100%. I don't want one level to be too easy and the next level impossible. I don't adjust sliders because that's just a way to cheat. Developers should get it right and if it isn't right they should patch int. There should be one difficulty level that gives no advantage to user or CPU.

Sliders are there because no one person is on the same exact skill level. Sliders give us the opportunity to make the game easier or harder than the base difficulty. However you want to play is up to you. As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters.

So reducing the human sliders is cheating? This is a weird take.

All Madden is too easy and even with slider adjustments the challenge many want can't be achieved.

I've assumed that will be the case with this game.

The good news is that EA has apparently made it a bit of a priority to enhance the AI to make it more competent and challenging. Some of those effects will be felt with this game, like with Real Time Coaching.

Hopefully this remains the case and we continuously get noticeable improvements to the AI and difficulty of the game each release. It's long overdue with EA sports titles, so it is nice to hear guys like Sykes on the dev team are passionate about getting the AI in a good place.
