Can we still change skin tones of players?

I don't want to make this a serious race issue so I apologize ahead of time but my intentions is not to make this a serious race issue.

I just want realism. I don't want t recruit a Polynesian player, or a Tyrone Davis or Jamal Daniels but he looks white as snow.

I don't know how strict EA is now since the Ed Obannon situation in terms of player editing but I know in older NCAA games u can. Can someone confirm we can edit skin tones for CFB25?

To my knowledge, just names of generated recruits.

Man just names? That's kinda weak. If I recruit a Sefoi Polamalu from Hawaii but he looks like a Todd Riley I can't change his skin and face? I hope this isn't true.

You know what I didn't think about that. That'll definitely work lol

            That sucks I know

But at least we can then change his name to something that might best fit his ethnic group.

Best get used to a lot of 5 star white cornerbacks.

Idk, the old games were actually pretty good with that stuff. Would be weird if they suddenly weren’t. You’re right though, would be all kinds of goofy if Bama had like six white guys in their secondary come year four or five lol.

Anyway, as silly as it sounds (sort of a house rule I guess), I seldom recruit based on talent and instead focus largely on aesthetics (including home town). Don’t really need a stacked squad per se, so it’s easy to pass on guys with goofy tangibles.
                Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

We can change name, height/weight, position, and equipment. So far we don't know about ratings (very conflicted info there), and at least for the time being we cannot change number. Appearance as far as facial features and skin tone is unchangeable.

This is correct. Still hoping for numbers.

I saw some goofy looking generated faces in the small sample size over this weekend. Definitely some goofy names too. I just hope the final build would have better generated prospects than what we saw over the weekend

IMO there is no need to apologize. One this is a function that has always been in the game. Two many people want realism in the game just like real fight songs, real team colors and other real life features. Three EA has sucked for decades with autogenerated players (weird names, unrealistic attributes, unrealistic heights, race/ethnicities that don't match the skill positions in real life). So people have always wanted to update the generated players.

Heck I have watched multiple streamers this weekend of game play and I have seen a bunch of autogenerated white RBs and WRs recruits and quite a few black punters and kickers recruits.

Thats just not realistic. Heck I have been watching HBCU football (and going to games) for 30 years and even HBCU teams have almost entirely white and latin kickers and punters. So that even tells you how rare it is to have black punters and kickers.

On top of that its looks like the game can't even get hair correctly. When even in real life long braids and dreads are common with college football players and even there are a bunch of NIL players in the game with long braids and long dreads. Yet the with the autogenerated players the long braids and long dreads look to be rare...SMH.

That was a big thing with NCAA 14 and 13 auto generated recruiting classes 5* white CB's and RB's named Jamal, Tyrone, etc. The auto generated recruiting classes from 12 and previous versions were actually pretty good about that though. I personally don't think EA sees it as an actual problem, though. For whatever reason. Seeing as how it was in 13, 14, and made it's way into 25 despite it being 11 years later and skipping an entire console generation.

Similar to NBA 2K's CPU Generated classes having the players look like aliens with whacked out tendencies, they don't see it as an issue, because it somehow makes it's way into every single version.

There were a ton of white dudes in the streams this weekend with questionable names and I also saw several mixed guys with straight up comb-over hairstyles. I have to say I did not see a ton of variety in the faces given the amount of hairstyles and faces the game has to offer. These faces don't bother me a ton because they will be under a helmet but if we cant get the ethnicities more accurate its gonna be tough to play more than a few seasons at a time. Hoping all this was due to it not being the final build
