What difficulty do you play on?

I usually play on the 2nd hardest difficulty for Football games but All-American is kicking my ***. Curious what most people are playing on.

Hiesman, but the difficulty level in this game is much higher than past EA football games. They've put work into the AI and making it much smarter this year and it's having an impact for sure.

I haven’t started monkeying with sliders yet (still everything on default) but I’ve been using All American (haven’t tried anything else yet).

Defensively, my guys have prolly been too good and the cpu has a lot of trouble moving the ball against me. But I think this can be tweaked to give the cpu more agency, while keeping it on AA. Offensively, it’s been a mixed bag as I usually move the ball with realistic efficiency, but other times I’m been unstoppable while others I can’t even get first downs.

I usually play on default Heisman until I win a good matchup. I beat Tennessee with Oregon last night on the road and it took everything I had to pull it off.

The atmosphere and the stadium pulse causing my audibles to go haywire made it really challenging. I can finally look to a more toned down experience which should be more fun.

My goal has always been to at least win on game on default highest level in every sports game I buy.

Shout out to Kramer5150 for some adjustments to sliders he recommended so I can get a good and challenging experience.

I have always played on All Madden in the Madden series, so with this game I am trying to play on Heisman but it's been stressing me out so I may have to drop the difficulty until I can get used to the game

On Madden I usually play All-Pro so I landed on All-American. Like you it is very challenging but overwhelming. If I could stop throwing picks and getting sacked I may get over the hump.

This is driving me crazy. If I play on Varsity - I blow out the opposition and put up ridiculous numbers. If I play on All-American - I throw non-stop interceptions.

I don't know what the balance is - but I'm going to have to get way better or just accept that I'm older with less skill these days. If that's the case - I'll just have to settle for 250 rushing and 600 yards passing per game which is dumb.

My guess is that I'll end up down the road with somewhere in between once decent sets of sliders are out there.

All American, went to varsity for a couple games and had to go back to AA. Every time I think I can move onto Heisman I lose on AA or have close games.

I'm on Heisman no doubt. Working some good sliders out at the moment then I'm golden. I had second thoughts initially because of the thrashing I received from Syracuse, thinking it may have been Heisman mode cheating, however, next game against a more close rated team was pretty even keel and made sense, so I'll stick with Heisman for the moment.

Varsity. I played Heisman on the old series but the AI from the PS3 era pales in comparison to today's AI. As I get comfortable and familiar with my playbook, especially my defense playbook, I'll jump to All-American.

I was an All-American level player back in the PS[emoji639] days but this game is much harder to me. I’ve moved to varsity and I’m having a great time now!

Oh man, I am off to a slow start.

I just got the game, so I put it on Varsity just to get the feel for it. On 5 minute quarters, I played as Colorado, hosting Sam Houston State, expecting an easy win.

I missed 3 field goals (horrifically) and the extra point and lost 7-6, on a scoop and score fumble return for a TD after I had thrown for a first down at midfield.

I am playing on Heisman and making my own slider set. Loving the results so far. Just need EA to fix the sim logic and then I am rolling.

How? I assume you’re playing with Michigan, but still. I’m on Varsity and teams regularly effortlessly drive the field on me. I’m not a pro, but I have solid sticks skills and understand the game - console and IRL.

Gonna stick with default Heisman until I master it, then make the inevitable changes to make it more challenging, not less.

I play MLBTS a lot so I can handle losing 10 of 12 without flipping my wig, ya know? lol

It’s gonna be a great year.
