    Getting shredded??

Is anyone else really struggling on D. I’m getting lit up over the middle. 9 of 10 drives end in a TD or tbe game deciding to throw me tbe ball.

    Raises hand

I'm playing with default sliders and I just can't seem to get any sustained pressure on the QB and my tackling is pretty poor.

It's a massive problem. I've been running games since this came out. Tweaking heisman sliders all kinds if ways. 3/10 attemps are enjoyable for me. Weather it's unstoppable drives from coastal Carolina at LSU 28 3 in the 1st q. Doing combinations on the adjustments which don't get me started on this MADDEN FEATURE. This games a woman. One day It's beautiful. Next day it's completely unrealistic broken and you wanna smash it into pieces.

Same. And I’m playing varsity. lol.

I’m admittedly not very good. But come on. Clemson defense vs Virginia offense? I should be getting consistent pressure. Instead I’m getting torched over the middle. No matter the play call.

For those of you having problems on defense are you expecting to shut down offenses every snap or not expect CPU to convert downs?

I can sit in quarters on 90% of downs and just wait for the CPU to screw up. You dont get points for calling the most plays. Stop the inside run then do what you can to limit busted plays

Yeah, quarters is kind of busted imo. It's the most effective way to get pressure, INTs, and contain the breakaway speed of the CPU.

I like ot use 3-4 Cover 4 with the MLB blitzing the A gap. If I user him I can get usually get at least a sack a game with him. I generally have 3-5 sacks a game and 1-3 ints as a whole for my defenses.

I was concerned about this months ago when EA touted “wide open gameplay”. One of the many problems is the QBs have pinpoint accuracy

I put passing sliders on 0 and all that did was trigger more animations where the passes are thrown a tad behind the recover but they are still caught.

I’m gonna say it: this game is unplayable until this is resolved and I don’t use that term lightly.

Dont complain about difficulty... Keep playing and trying new things and eventually you will adapt and get better. We dont need this game watered down. We all just need to adjust. I'm in the same boat losing to UAB as Arkansas by double digits lol and FCS West or whatever keeping it close, having to restart every time I throw picks out the gate.

But I would rather struggle at first and get better than to hound the devs to make it easy

Just to see what happened I turned the CPU QBA slider down to 20 on Varsity with Tulane (CPU) vs UT (me). Their QB was 28-31 for 315yds. The only incompletions came on QB hurries or hits. Robo QB is in FULL effect this year…..

It’s not about making it easy or “git gud.” Watch your DB’s in coverage. It’s dog sh*t.

                      This thread is hilarious.

If any of these dramatic conclusions were true the game would be getting roasted. “If I can’t win by 50 on day 1 the game is unplayable”. Thanks for the morning laugh, keep up the good work!

I’d recommend looking into the threads on sliders, lot of positive things there.

I’m also just not struggling the same way these guys seem to be. Some games I give up 500 yards. Some games I hold them under 250 yards. That’s kinda how college football is. I think the biggest change guys need to make if I had to guess, is that people tend to user blitzers. But you really need to user safeties or MLB’s that are running a zone across the middle. If you just take away the middle (and don’t run press on outside corners) things will improve.

I’m playing on Heisman, and just about everything I’ve tried has not worked, especially zone- there are way too many coverage busts. I’ve had the most success with man blitzes with a Cover 3 or zero shell- the quicker the CPU has rid of the ball, the better. I also use run commit on any down when it’s less than 10 yards to go. The CPU still hits big plays, but I’ve gotten a few sacks and a lot more stops because the ball is coming out fast and my DBs come up and make the tackle short of the sticks.

I get you cannot dominate, but the game in its current state is just fine for. A couple of factors I consider, first these are college kids and most are not elite players that were WR DB separation comes in. Also this means they are not going to play lights out. I play on varsity and the Terps just finished first season finishing 9 - 3 losing in first round of playoff to Georgia. We had an up and down season true to Maryland last season. I am okay with this I need to get more 5 star players to avoid this. This is realism also you have to mix up man versus zone. Nothing is wrong with the game, adjust schemes and realize this not yet the NFL.

I agree with what you wrote, I think what some of us (including me) would say the problem is that teams that are 70 rated such as the FCS teams or Kennesaw State are putting up big yards and numbers against a 5 star program like Ohio St or Texas or Georgia. If I was playing against a top tier school or even a school with a good offense then I wouldn't be too upset.
