Welcome to my coaching journey for Mason Maxwell
Hello there and welcome to my 2025 NCAA Football Dynasty story. I've been messing around with dynasties and finally feel ready to settle into a really solid one.
I don't plan on this being a single team rebuild and plan on it being more a journeyman build where Maxwell will look for bigger opportunities outside of ULM. I went with ULM because they blend a good mix of "rough ratings in game" and "struggled in real life".
I'll be using Canva to help create "in world" reporting and will try to fit all articles on what is currently happening in those images as well as provide box scores. I'm going to skip providing many highlight videos, though maybe with some playing around I can add those later. I'm better at digital tools such as Canva! Though I'll make sure to have in-game images and stills provided.
I plan on playing every game, and have the game set to use the wonderful cane's Heisman sliders (though tweaked to my personal playthrough). I strive for a difficult rebuild and one that will force me to lose games in a fair way. Hopefully everyone enjoys! For recruiting, I'll look for a balance of "realism" and "video game"; so while I won't entirely rule out going after four-stars at ULM, for example, they'll be players that either fall through the cracks or fit pipelines, etc. I'll try to update recruiting through the same means of newspapers/blog posts/fan forums/etc. as well to keep everyone updated on the season and where Maxwell is going.
I've also gone back to a world where the Pac-12 exists. I've noticed that with this set up the CFP is better about throwing the best teams into the mix. I finished 8th with New Mexico State, with 1 loss and a Conference USA title and still didn't get a top-4 seed. In the base version I see that pretty normally. I think it makes a more fun world!
I have no idea where this will end up and how long I'll go. But I hope you're along for the ride!
