What's the story of the Chicago Bulls? One word — malaise. Coaches, outcoached. Players, outplayed. And, the malaise behind their losses have left the franchise in disarray. Jerry Reinsdorf has sold the team to Daniel Katahdan. Inspired by the Showtime Lakers of Jerry Buss, Daniel is seeking to establish the Chicago Bulls as contenders.
The last victim of the malaise of Reinsdorf is none other than Lakers champion coach Paul Westhead. Bulls fans are uncertain as to whether a new coach will usher in success, especially as coach Westhead coached Magic Johnson to a championship. In any case, Kevin Loughery enters the fray.
And, with Loughery comes another rebuild. Veterans Mike Bratz, Mark Olberding, Larry Kenon, and Dwight Jones all exit. In comes Ennis Whatley, Mitchell Wiggins, and Sidney Green.
