What's the story of the Chicago Bulls? One word — malaise. Coaches, outcoached. Players, outplayed. And, the malaise behind their losses have left the franchise in disarray. Jerry Reinsdorf has sold the team to Daniel Katahdan. Inspired by the Showtime Lakers of Jerry Buss, Daniel is seeking to establish the Chicago Bulls as contenders.

The last victim of the malaise of Reinsdorf is none other than Lakers champion coach Paul Westhead. Bulls fans are uncertain as to whether a new coach will usher in success, especially as coach Westhead coached Magic Johnson to a championship. In any case, Kevin Loughery enters the fray.

And, with Loughery comes another rebuild. Veterans Mike Bratz, Mark Olberding, Larry Kenon, and Dwight Jones all exit. In comes Ennis Whatley, Mitchell Wiggins, and Sidney Green.

Bulls, Kevin Loughery 'Eke Opening Night Victory Against Nets 90-89

The Chicago Bulls squeezed their first win of the year in Kevin Loughery's coaching debut. The Chicago Bulls' bench was able to forge its own destiny, scoring 33 points as a group. Rookie Mitchell Wiggins led them, scoring 13 points as backup to Quintin Dailey.

Things looked bleak for the young Bulls, as they trailed by as many as ten points in the first quarter. However, their bench was able to do the dirty work to get them back in. And, once they were in, the Orlando Woolridge and his fellow starters never looked back.

Woolridge Humbles Wilkins, Bulls Earn Second Victory in Atlanta 97-92

The Bulls won their second game of the season behind Orlando Woolridge. The Atlanta Hawks, a team that many experts consider to be one of the East's underrated teams, couldn't match the dominance exhibited by Orlando Woolridge, leading the team with 32 points. "Woolridge played excellent basketball out there," says coach Kevin Loughery. "Even at his young age, he's the leader on this team.

Dominique Wilkins scored 30 of his own but couldn't get his team out with a victory.


Hawks guard Doc Rivers was hurt on this play while being defended by Sidney Green

Doc Rivers went down late in the third quarter with a strained achilles and will mess the next four - six weeks.

Thank you dude! I'm doing this as practice too. Once NBA 2K25 rolls out, I'll be doing this on Twitch, and my goal is to slow it down each year, rather than rush it.

My goal is to keep it immersive for myself, rather than, "trade for all the draft picks," haha. Orlando Woolridge is clearly the leader on this time, though! I'm also a huge Bulls fan, and delving into their history is such a fun pastime for me.
