Love that you mentioned CFB 25 between play camera and the camera to the crowd. Much of that presentation has been feeling lack luster in Madden for some time now. Even the halftime show does not work properly most of the time. Them announcing the additional commentary teams, adjusted scoreboard and ticker is a good step in the right direction I just hope they build upon it with improved crowd, a new half time show, better post play animations and camera shots. Just somethings you would expect from NFL Films.

Re: What Would Make Madden 25 Presentation Great?

Thank you for the article as presentation and immersion have been key areas Madden has been lacking in for a while. Here is how Madden 25 can make presentation great:

      1. First, bring back the presentation features that were taken out of Madden 24 from the previous year(s) like: Extended Pre-Game Presentation, Next Gen Stats, Crowd Celebrations like leaping into the stands, and the Super Fans in the crowd.

These should have never been eliminated in the first place. I recognize last year some of the player model enhancements may have been the issue with a few of these exclusions.

      2. Bring in additional customization options like:
      - Multiple End Zone Art Packages, especially when wearing the retro uniforms that
teams usually change the end zone art to reflect the retro uniforms. But teams also
change their end zones during the year regardless of uniforms like the Jaguars and
Falcons. I would like to see the option/ability to change end zone art for an existing
team in both Play Now, but especially Franchise mode.

      - Retro Logos - along the same lines of multiple end zone design packages to also have
the logo reflect the retro uniforms, especially in the score bug and have the ability to
edit the logo with a retro logo offering in Franchise mode.

      - Bigger Font For Player Name Display (ball carrier) - this is something I have been wanting since
EA decided almost 10 years ago to shrink the font size for last name display. It's literally
microscopic for the punter or kick returner. I was excited when footage of the Madden
25 beta version seemed to show a bigger name indicator font on the QB, RBs, WRs, ect, but
then the game play trailer last week appeared to revert back to that smaller font. Also,
I would like EA to bring back the name indicator on the CPU player which they always
had until about 10 years ago they took it out.

      - Enhanced Half Time Show - no doubt this will be top on many people's list. This is
especially lacking in Franchise Mode where there should be a "look around the league"
with actual in-game highlights instead of just reading the scores. If I were J Coachman
I wouldn't want to be associated with a halftime presentation that is over 20 years
      behind the times.

      - "Tecmo Cam" - introduce a camera angle that is more appealing at the sideline angle. I
call it Tecmo Cam because what made the playing/viewing angle so great that it was
from the sideline/broadcast angle, but at a slant which made it playable for a video
game. The slant is the difference.

Multiple Broadcast Packages like a certain OS member suggested and even designed for EA years ago. 'nuff said.

Well if College football 25 is all about the true to life pageantry and atmosphere of college football. They are on the right track.

Then NFL football is all about the slick TV style presentation that it brings every single year, and what made nfl 2k5 so great and still talked about years later. That's what Madden has to do - I think they were coming close in Madden 17/18 but quickly abandoned the slick TV style of NFL, they're starting to get better. But if you love the NFL on TV every year like most of us do, then they know what they have to do. More stats on screen, more around the league presentation, which should include detailed halftime shows, pre game shows, post game interviews, more celebrations for playoffs, not just super bowl, but afc/nfc championship trophies, stats for playoffs on the screen. Again if they watch the NFL they know what should be included, it's not rocket science and they haven't got even halfway close in a LONG TIME.
Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.

Re: What Would Make Madden 25 Presentation Great?

Madden has had the opportunity to make great presentation, but they simply either don't know how? or they simply don't think it matters.

As soon as they entered their 15 year exclusive deal with ESPN some 20 years ago, I remember all the talk back then, well? EA didn't use ESPN even remotely close as many were hoping...

With EA is all about "buzz words"...there have been so many used throughout Madden cycles in regards to presentation, I have pretty much forgotten them.

With that being said, I'm just going to list a few things, as in the grand scheme of things, it won't really matter.

After playing and enjoying CFB 25, the biggest issue I have with Madden is stadium atmosphere...playing a game at Acrisure is no different than playing in Cincy or Baltimore, which leads to a very stale and boring game.

I believe it was M16 (and the last time) that they pretty much copied a CBS broadcast with player introductions and what-not...then what happened? Gone!

            Halftime show-nuff said

How about cheerleaders for teams that have them, and I'm not talking about the zombie cheerleaders from CFB 25

Live cut ins from around the league during a franchise game.

            Where is Next Gen Stats??

How about upping the presentation for the playoffs, or better yet make it feel like getting to the playoffs is a big deal, not having it feeling like a preseason game.

There is so much this game needs from a presentation aspect, and the fact that it's coming up on the release of M25, and that a game from 20 years ago is STILL light years ahead of Madden speaks volumes.

PLEASE don’t show us pre game highlights of a game that hasn’t happened yet. I don’t understand that design choice and never will. I hated M21 because of it. I thought M22 did a decent job, but then they changed it up in M23. Stick to one thing and improve it.

I thought I read somewhere that M25 would have real crowd audio. Not sure what happened I can’t find anything about that anymore. But that would go a long way to make M25 great. With CFB having 134+ different stadiums/atmospheres Madden should have no problem making each stadium feel unique with pre/regular/post season presets.

Madden 15 was the last modern Madden to have good presentation to me. I love how they just modeled it after CBS. I want to see digitized versions of the commentary team pregame. The crazy thing is that for a few years Madden had those intro games that PERFECTLY captures what we all want. That intro with Cam Newton leading the Panthers was cool as hell. The other one with the Steelers and Antonio Brown was awesome, too! Just captures that from a presentation standpoint.

I completely agree and have wanted this for years. I can't imagine it is too difficult to implement.

The last thing Madden needs to take it over the top is the animated broadcast shows. Pre game, half-time, and post game. The first thing I thought when it was stated we would have multiple broadcast teams was animated shows, so I was very let down with College Footballs lack of it, and I'm figuring Madden doesn't have it this year either.

Come on guys, we had this back in TV Sports Football for the Commodore 64 back in the 80s early 90s:

They even had the fake brands for sponsorship, the "brought to you by (insert fake food brand)"

Ditto on the pregame highlights especially when it shows the exact uniforms you picked. If anything, change up the uniforms/venue (especially if it's a division rival game because it would make sense as they play each other twice a year).

Or when it's the first game of the season and they show player/team ratings as part of the pregame package. Kind of ruins the immersion. Instead show stats from last season (college stats for rookies now that EA can actually use college team names)

I like the play calling screen in CFB 25 with stat overlays. Only negative was it was too rushed so hopefully Madden can fix that. I wanna see stats throughout the season from other teams and players. If my QB is having a great season then I wanna see his stats compared to other top QBs in the league as well. Madden franchise has felt too stale in recent years because it just feels like you're playing meaningless games week in and week out.

Also hope they make certain stadiums stand out. Playing in Arrowhead on the road in a division game should feel more chaotic than playing at home with the Commanders but it feels the same in Madden

I would prefer if they showed actual replays and point out what happened on the plays from matchups earlier in the season from previous division games and cpu vs cpu games. I think we can get there eventually, but we’re a long way from that. Games will probably be 1tb by then.

Those little clips pre game that they had in M21 with the horrible camera angles didn’t do it for me at all. I even hate it in NBA 2k.

I agree with CFB25’s overlays being too short. I do like them, but wish they would go full screen replay’s more often. It would be perfect when somebody gets hurt and they show what happened. CFB just transitions fast when a guy gets hurt and it annoys me lol.

Dynamic Weather Conditions allow the weather to impact games like temperature changes & more

Start a game with Drizzle by end of 1st qtr change to light rain then by halftime its heavy rain & raining Tru 4th qtr then stops but fields are slippery & muddy

Show games could start out cold & foggy then have sleet then light snow then moderate snow then turn into a blizzard with Dense Fog & field covered in snow temperature can drop from low 20's to-20 & more with wind chill -50 would be realistic

Show owners in press box along with GM & media people!

Also more TV Broadcast Teams must add in the Great Kevin Harlin nobody does it better then him ATM how cool would it be to have him & Trent Green calling your games!!

Madden presentation has really suffered as the majority of gamers attention spans have devolved to gnat like levels. You see it EVERYWHERE with Madden, coin toss? Cut, stadium/team accurate player intros? Cut, huddle breaks and line of scrimmage walkups, cut, Beautiful fully rendered stadium exterior shots last what, 2.5 maybe 3 seconds on average? Madden instant replays don't even show the entire play anymore, how many times have you been trying to watch a replay and it either starts too late or ends before you see the whole thing? Every step they've made with this stuff has been an attempt to quicken the game, I don't see a ton of room for sim guys who want all of this stuff, we are a dying breed I fear unfortunately.

Madden has had to follow the money, it's not really on them completely, it's the demands of the gamer base that pump tons of money into the micro transactions annually unfortunately. I'm seeing the CUT players right now on Twitter telling EA not to touch the Judkins spin move in EACF25. It's so over the top and broken it would look out of place in NFL Blitz. That's what we're up against, sadly, that's what these guys want out of the game.
