Corbin Burnes Glitch

Just loaded up my franchise and Corbin Burnes is on multiple teams and in some cases as a double...

No clue how or when this happened

Anyone have this happen to them?

Just checked all three of my main franchise files, no issues.

What roster did you start your franchise with?

There were some posts somewhere of that happening to others, but it's never happened to me. I don't know if it was ever figured out what triggers it. What roster were you using, and what point in the season were you at?

I was using an user created roster and 30 team control

I am in mid-August of the 1st year when this happened

No clue what happened to trigger it as I play a game everyday of the season so it just popped up over the weekend

I've never seen it in any of my franchises, but I did have it happen in my RTS. Sucks because I had to give up on my player, and I was just starting to dominate. Halfway through my 3rd year as a starting pitcher. This glitch is an absolute killer. No idea what causes it.

Ugh, I'm approaching mid August of my 1st year with a custom roster and 30 team control. Hopefully I'm not in for something similar because I'm really enjoying my Franchise so far.

I have completed 2 full seasons with the out of box roster and haven't seen this glitch.

Might restart and do this going forward

So on the team that there's 3 of him Does he pitch 3 days in a row? Since he's taking up 3 spots. Or does any other team actually even use him? Like does he just show up on the roster screen or does he actually play for all of those teams? Not being sarcastic, genuinely curious. Seems like a really confusing glitch, and interesting that it only seems to involve Corbin Burnes.

I haven't tried advancing in hope that maybe they were aware of this glitch and there'll be a fix but I am curious now too lol and will try and see later today

I remember somebody else posting the Burnes glitch not long after the game came out. I don’t think a fix was ever found.

I’d try two things:
1. Delete the game and reinstall. (Don’t delete your franchise save though)
2. Rebuild the database (if you’re on PS5)

Neither may work, but worth a shot.

So he only shows up on the roster screen but when you go to rotation he's nowhere to be found

If you cut one of the duplicates, it cuts him from Baltimore as well and then you essentially lose him from the game as he is nowhere to be found except the duplicates stay on the random teams roster and it says Free Agent instead of MLB/AAA/AA/A

Very weird

I deleted the game and will reinstall and see if that fixes it

Also happened with me, i just ignored but he still keps appearing in all other teams, but he don't play and don't interferes with anything like that, just the stats is broken he appears like with 50+ games played
