    Dynasty/update question

Finally getting to this game after a busy summer. My copy should arrive on the doorstep tomorrow, and I’m excited to have about 2 slowish weeks to play before work gets crazy again.

My question is related to dynasty mode and the next update patch. I will want to fire up an offline Syracuse dynasty almost immediately. Should I wait until the next patch, or will the patch fix things in a pre-existing save?

I should know the answer to this but I just don’t game as much as I used to and can’t remember how it was done in past games. Any help here is appreciated.

Nobody really knows. People have asked this question a lot and there's never a straight answer lol.

My advice to you would be don't hold your breathe that the under the hood things in dynasty will be fixed. You could be twiddling your thumbs waiting for a day that will never come.

And I would suggest that you do an online dynasty just in case things are fixed and just in case the possible updates do take effect.

Keep in mind that you have to subscribe to PS Plus / XBox whatever-it's-called now in order to play an online dynasty, even if it's a single player private online dynasty.

I absolutely hate the endless money grab and subscription service BS that's across far too many industries now.

No logical reason to need to pay for PSN (or whatever it's called) to play a damn game in a personal private online dynasty. But then again, I don't know why you'd do an online private dynasty?

Maybe I've gotten too old, I guess. Lemme get back to outside and yelling at the clouds.

100% with you. Absolutely no reason to need a subscription for this, as evidenced by being able to use Teambuilder teams in offline Play Now. If they don't update to let us use Teambuilder in offline dynasty in 25 (which I assume they won't), I think that's it for me with EA. If they were upfront saying you'd need to pay for a subscription this year, I'd feel differently, but since they made no mention of it (and they can't assume everyone knows that private online dynasty means you need a subscription), they've lost my trust.

It’s a business, I don’t think they need to justify making money.

            Go away clouds 😂

I'm all for them making money. They do have to justify using sketchy business practices to make that money, though. Is there anywhere on their marketing site that says you need to pay for a subscription to use Teambuilder in a dynasty? No. Were you able to use a private online dynasty without paying for a subscription during early access? Yes. Did they warn anybody that this would go away during full release? No. Sounds like they knew that people weren't going to be happy about having to pay to use their Teambuilder teams so they intentionally misled us. That's where the lack of trust comes in. If they kept charging your credit card each month without telling you, would you let them and consider it sunny skies, just because they're a business and have to make money?
