Thanks Steve, but I'm not seeing Sam Spence?

Why is it the only NFL licensed "simulation" football game on the market can't get actual NFL licensed music?

Again, looks like Spotify will be the "go to" place for my musical needs.

The first thing I do on Madden when I get to the Main Menu is turn off all of the music. Looks like that tradition will continue this year.

So was that leak which alleged that throwback tracks from older Madden games would appear on the Madden 25 soundtrack just false, then? None appear on EA's official playlist or their JPEG.

I believe the leak was false but from what I've seen they will have throwback tracks as stadium songs and then they can be selected for the menu. But you know with EA it can be described as one thing and end up being another

Madden 16 was the last legit, diverse, vibing soundtrack IMO. Love that soundtrack. Ever since is has not been nearly as good and this looks blech to me.

And Madden 12 I believe was the last one we had the Sam Spence soundtrack which I still can't understand....why that's not in an NFL licensed game such as Madden.

There has to either be a big dispute with his estate.....or EA does not want to pay additional royalty?

I miss it dearly in my menu music while I do my scouting, roster work as well as everything else inside the franchise hub.

I will just have the new Madden theme playing and any instrumental music they provide (if they even do this year).

I was just starting Madden up on PC and went through the music to turn off all of it, track by track, but then I started noticing bands and artists I knew of, like Snoop Dogg, DMX, 50 cent, and lo and behold, a ton of good music from way back in the day, happy to say I actually left about 15-20 tracks on.

Wow - totally worth turning all of those songs on! Why would this not be the default? Anticipating many will never know about these.

Agreed, there's actually quite a bit off by default.

Since Madden 19, my daughter and I have a tradition each game of spending about an hour going through the soundtrack & giving each song a good listen...we wrinkle our noses, we poke fun (she's just turning 16 this year), we laugh at how bad it is...but this year was a pleasant surprise! Out of ~67 total songs, we left 21 of them turned on! This will be the first Madden in forever where I won't need to rely on Pandora while I play. There's enough there to keep things going while in the menus.

Not a great soundtrack, but pretty damn good when compared to others in the last decade.
