I thought it might be helpful to have a thread about ideas and issues with custom playbooks.
There have been a couple of good improvements.
1. The navigation menu is a little easier and faster.
2. I think there is a set order to the formations and sets. You can't put them in the order you want, but they will be listed in a logical and consistent order.
3. The play art tells you if the coverage matches or not. You don't have to toggle match on and off every game.
There are still some of the same old issues:
1. Can't pick a custom book as your scheme in Franchise, so formation subs aren't available.
2. I don't think the recommendations work right. I filled each scenario with 20-30 unique plays but the game still recommends plays that I did not include.
3. This is more play calling screen than custom playbook issue, but shell disguises can only be used from within the formation menu. So if you like to pick from recommendations or favorites you can't disguise.
4. The plays within a formation are not in any logical order, as far as I can tell. Its annoying because if I want, for example, Cov 2 Hard Flat, I might pick a formation, cycle through 24 plays looking for it, not find it, and have to do that again in another formation. And there's not enough time to do that. You can use the concept menu, but then you lose the disguise shells.
