Anyone else having trouble Deciding........

......If it's going to be CFB25 for your long term Dynasty, or if you will opt for a Madden CFM instead?

Now that both games are available, it's become a pretty tough decision, and I don't know which direction to turn.

I've had so much fun with Madden since NCAA went away, M22, M23, and M24, have all been outstanding experiences for me, each year going longer and deeper, and not to lie but my CFM on M24 was just amazing.

Prior to NCAA going away, I would have never considered a serious Madden Franchise, and NCAA was my favorite go to game which generated years of fun and Dynasties, that I still have fond memories of today.

EA made it hard putting both games out there.

I like Madden due to the draft, trades, free agency, etc, and just seems to be a bit easier for me to manage a team, and truth be had I probably watch more NFL, and tend to lean that direction. CFB25 I think I almost prefer the game play, but unless they bring it back to an online type of recruiting process, it almost takes to much time, and building a team feels like a longer process, but the game on the field is pretty hard to beat.

Both games have their obvious positives and negatives.

Anyone having trouble deciding? What route are you planning on taking?

CFB until Christmas. Madden won't be bought until the winter holidays. One season of Madden (no ''true'' dynasty) will get me to MLB The Show 25 in March.

Try to get a game of each in before or after work. The hard part is going to be fitting NBA 2K in there while all of the major sports are in-season.

At this point Madden has no appeal to me and I’m enjoying CFB25 too much. I may give Madden a shot down the road.

My oldest boy is talking about getting it, since my console is his home console, I guess I'll have it as well.

I might tinker with superstar mode a little, but other than that I have zero interest in getting Madden. I am having too much fun with CFB.

Wasn’t able to finish even one season last year and completely hooked on CFB, not buying Madden for first time ever.

Haven't really played Madden in the past 3-4 years. I'll probably pick it up this year, what I foresee is playing CFB25 until I build such a powerhouse that it no longer feels fun then I'll switch to Madden or NBA2k

I think this year is the least interested I have been in Madden since Madden 11.

Ironic, then, that one of the things I am getting the most use out of in CFB25 is the star ratings for plays in custom playbooks, which was introduced in Madden 11 but didn’t actually work properly until CFB25 lol.

I don't own either game at the moment. I really had fun with madden 24 and always have played madden since 1997. Never really got into College games and even irl. But this year seems very different and I am strongly interested in CFB and far less interested in madden. But see will see

I've already played more CFB just running a test dynasty than I played Madden '24. Not that many hours compared to some of you, but compared to other PS5 sports games a lot for me.

I think what I like so much is with recruiting as a low prestige school it feels like there are still a lot of options to build my team. The roster turnover is a fun challenge.
I also don't have a favourite school so I plan to do multiple years with different ones because each conference is also like it's own mini league.

After a couple days of Madden I'm starting to like it a lot more with my slider settings and having fun.
But like the thread says it's not easy to pick one, don't think I'll have time for both but kind of hate to miss out on Madden at the same time.

I've put 10 hours into both games and I'm on the verge of settling on one for the rest of the year...



CFB'25 is a breath-of-fresh air...but its Dynasty mode lacks polish and is missing basic functionality.


Madden'25 feels a bit stale...but its Franchise mode is much more refined & feature rich.

Definitely putting a lot of time in both games. I will be a program builder coach and the owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

A season of CFB and Madden will take a fraction of the time it would to get through a season of the show and 2k so not really worried about not having time for both games.

CFB hands down better football simulation so there's my answer. Also, the fact Mills stopped playing Madden already cause zone coverage is quote, "possibly worst it's ever been." Zone works in CFB. Not perfect, but really really well, and certainly not broken.

I too have played a decent amount of Madden franchise over the years but I believe it was due to the lack of a new college game. Now I’ll admit, I’ve burned about 4-6 of my trial hours of M25 between play now w/ my son, some preseason games in franchise and created Nick Baggs as my superstar mode QB last night. Ran through the combine and was drafted 26th to the Bucs. I like what I’ve experienced so far in M25 but in general, I’m more of a CFB fan in real life and in gaming so it’s CFB 25 and dynasty for me. That’s not to say I won’t purchase M25 at some point though. I could see fun being had with franchise mode / superstar mode especially with importing a kid from RTG.
