Team Ratings Change by Viewing Depth Chart

I'm in year 2 of Dynasty. If you look at the top 25 Bama is rated 89 OVR, 91 OFF & 89 DEF.

If you go to depth chart, they have the same ratings, BUT if you get out of depth chart and go back into it, they are 91 OVR, 91 OFF, & 92 DEF.

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this, but it obviously makes no sense. I'm wondering if the "new" ratings are actually their true ratings.

    Any thoughts?

This is weird, other teams are changing too, but not all of them.

Penn St. just went from 86, 86, 86 to 91, 91, 91. They are stacked with Allar and Singleton, defiantly closer to 91 than 86.

South Carolina actually just dropped from 85 OVR to 81 OVR. Again, just by viewing their depth chart.

I'm not at my console right now, but if you go back in do any of the players' individual ratings change? Or is it just the Team rating?

I haven’t seen this (and after reading it will make sure I don’t look at any team’s depth chart outside of my opponent’s in game) but I’d bet it’s the same issue as changing your playbook or scheme in game. That team’s players are likely changing tendencies which changes their OVRs.

College #2: Michigan State Spartans (my alma mater)
College #3: North Carolina Tar Heels
            NHL: Detroit Redwings

I have not checked individual players, but I will when I get off work

I will definitely have to see if player overalls are changing, but I feel like the new team overalls are more accurate. They mostly go up

Same thing happens when you play a team.

For example when I check conference standings it showed Troy as being 76 overall. The week I play them it shows them as an 80 overall at the controller select screen.

I don't think its a bug that impacts much, I'd bet a pizza that all that it is is that the trigger to refresh team ratings at the start of a new season on the front end UI is failing. When you look at the roster or have a game against them its manually triggering a refresh for that team.

I agree. I don't think it refreshed the team OVR once teams update their depth charge between the offseason and week 0.

I have 1 confirmed example of the FSU going from 87,89,87 to 87,87,87 without the top 10 players on their roster changing OVR.

I don't think it's refreshing team OVR once the CPU makes depth chart changes between the offseason and week 0.

Stacked? Allar's completion percentage is below 60 lol.

I'm sorry EA didn't rate the players how you wanted them to. In year 2 of my Dynasty Allar is the best QB on the game.
