…killed this game which was on life support.

I wanted to love it. I did love it. It was just the honeymoon. The game sucks. It can’t be saved with any sliders cause I’ve tried them all. It’s a no defense scoring fest where your best skill is timing the clock to score at the end of halves to win. It’s fun at times but it gets old fast. It isn’t football, it’s NFL street without the muscles.

I just pkayed against Akron on Heisman sliders and for fun, put QB passing for the CPU down to 5. At the half he was 11/11 195 yards 3 TDs. One drive they started in wildcat forcing their RB to play Qb once they went turbo. He went 4/4 and lead a flawless TD drive.

The game is broken. There is no defense. I’m tired of it. I know you don’t care and most are gonna say I just suck. For the record, I’m still winning these games but it’s just clock manipulation. They can’t stop me as much as I can’t stop them.

The defense is an absolute joke.

It was bad at the start but this latest patch def changed something. Sliders do nothing. Heck, I’ve got FG accuracy down to 35 cause CPU can’t miss. They still don’t. Couldn’t tell you the last missed FG I’ve seen.

Anyone else noticing the game getting much worse this past week?

Sorry man, not my experience. I've had great defensive battles, and I find the sliders are genuinely working. Way better than Madden 25's sliders too.

I blow out teams I feel I am supposed too, and struggle against the top teams.

Just curious. What patch we talking about? Has there been another big one? My games are pretty good even after that last big patch they put out about 2 weeks ago I think. However, I do not play on Heisman. I plan on having fun with the game, treat it like a game, and give me no headaches. Heisman is nowhere in my future.

Sorry that's happening for you. I'd try to reinstall or do whatever that profile trick is in case that can work.

Just know that others aren't having the issues you're experiencing so maybe there's a solution somewhere for you.

Played a game on Heisman yesterday and had 3 pick 6 for my defense. The QB wasn't highly rated nor the team but I can play some defense in this game. Bad teams I can dominate. Good teams make me work. They pounce on mistakes. It's been fun.

Really hope your issue gets resolved.

Young22 is that you? In all seriousness , if I were you I'd uninstall this crap of a game and move on to the next. Don't keep engaging some that's dead. That's just foolishness. As a gaming community, we are about to be blessed with quite a few games coming out in the next couple of months. So, you'll have a variety to choose from.

I be trying not to be petty and discredit people’s personal experience, but y’all go’n **** the game up for everybody else by making up lies and calling the game broken because you can’t get a stop. Drop the difficulty until you get the proper challenge and then play with sliders for balance.

Correct, if you play on Heisman, you are going to get the results the OP is seeing...

I am playing on Varsity and my slider adjustments work fine.. I have had some GREAT games, and do see QB passing percentages down... I don't think people realize that while playing on the highest skill type in any game is going to make a 60 rated player play no different than a 90 rated player... This is the same in all EA games... EA stated several years ago which skill set plays best to their player ratings for the player separation. In NHL it's Pro, In Madden it is Pro, so by process of elimination, in NCAA it would be Varsity, I just think some believe they are better than that and the lower levels are beneath them, so they figure why drop down? I can win a game on any skill level, but I want to get realistic results, so I chose the formula EA mentioned like in 2011 or 2012 on their forums. If you don't go to the well every play and play what is in coach selections, the game plays well both ways...

I am still waiting to start a dynasty for the roster drop, and haven't played it in a couple of weeks, but unless something has changed, I am getting great games with the sliders working well. If playing on Varsity or All-American is beneath them, then don't complain and screw it up for everyone when a 60 rated QB has the same stat line, and frankly, abilities, as your 90 rated QB... Ratings don't matter on Heisman or All-Madden...

I don’t know the OP’s game experience or skill level but I avoid Heisman and always have because of the shenanigans I perceive when I play that level.

As said above I recommend finding the right level for your skillset and adjusting sliders as needed.

One tip I saw with defense that has helped me is to pick triangle (PS5) and then "sticks" (L1). This overrides any zone drops and gets CPU players in a better position to defend the pass. You can still pick "over the top", "underneath", etc shading. I also move my DL and LB around to match what I feel the offense is going to do. It's still a battle but I get satisfaction out of the some of the stops my team makes.

Football isn't an easy game. I'm 60 years old and have been a football fan all my life. There are a lot of nuance and intricacies in football (that I know nothing about) as opposed to my favorite game, baseball. This is the first time I've been excited about a game to the point where I want to dig through Youtube videos, etc to learn more. It's really what a lot of people have said about sports games....if they are made too realistic, people will complain. Do some research, learn more about the game, pick your appropriate level and have fun. It is possible.

I play on varsity using armors slider set and it is awesome. Games I should win I can blow out teams. Teams that are similar level are tough. To me it feels so damn good. Loving it!

Same here...love the variety of games I get using this same setup.

In 2027 with Colorado State, I beat Wisconsin 35-31 on the road in a classic, crushed San Diego St. at home by 3 scores the next week, then got crushed the following week by No. 12 Notre Dame 49-16 in South Bend.

The blocking is broken, the games no matter the difficulty is predetermined the plays are too. DB’s are over powered can jump too high and have eyes in the back of their head. And that’s just for starters.

It’s a game built a FPS engine with animations and code recycled for decades between NCAA and Madden. Until EA actually makes a real investment and effort to develop an engine specifically for sports games and then builds the new games from the ground up using physics these games will keep being disappointing glitch filled recycled trash.
