I have noticed that there have been several roster updates already being released. Out of curiosity, when will the first official roster update for Week 1 be released?

Next Thu but sometimes he delete the vets who sign to the pra squards and has to re add them back

Yes sometimes the first big roster update can be a bit of a mess for this exact reason. Sometime cut players can literally get cut from the game.

A few people on other forums have mentioned that the best roster to use is the current one we have prior to the season started because it has all the players, no one is missing and the free agents are still there.

Thoughts?

that is what i will use the roster in game now

i think all moves where as of this last friday or sat

I like either the default roster (with some edits) or the final preseason roster so that you can get the practice squad at least somewhat realistic.

Thats what i was thinking. I was going to use the one they released this morning. Its the preseason roster with the JuJu to KC move. No players have been removed as of yet. I just feel that once EA starts tinkering with their own roster, they ruin it or remove guys.

They dont mess up the rosters their just putting out the week 1 roster updates thats why i dont start my franchise till week 1 rosters come out

Actually the undrafted rookies are not present. Being I play as the Giants mainly, both Elijah Chatman and Jake Kubas were both not in the preseason week 3 roster update. Also, the vets that make the practice squad cannot be moved there by us only by EA, so you wind up cutting players who should be there. EA needs to fix the PS at some time to try to reflect the rules that have been in effect for I think 3 years now.

denver has frank crum and blake watson missing too

i heard they would have to charge part of the code to get the 16 needed for ps and also they dont think there is enough of a base that cares about it as well

Changing the code for limits is easy they do it daily while working on updates plus EA NHL did it with creating players during the year. There def is a base for it if they had proper free agent pool and ps rules. A proper franchise would have the practice squad story lines.

Somethings can't be changed once game is released. Yes there are patches but something just can't be touched until the following year. I do agree we need updated PS rules and I've talked to clint but as he said this is a huge task.
