My favorite ones are the ones where the player threatens you if you don’t give him what he wants.

Coach: “oh yeah, and what happens if I don’t give you 10 Carry’s and 5 catches”?

Player3 “well coach, your not going to want to find out”

What is this guy going to do? Send some goons to the team facility and break the coaches legs if he doesn’t comply lol

I had a "position battle" for Tight End between Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave. I said there wasn't a position battle. Entire team lost 20 morale including Musgrave who I declared was the starter before the preseason ever began. I named you the starter and you're still upset.

There should be a way to pick our own position battles and based on our judgement, players can be happy, upset, determined leading to a branching narrative. For example, I have a QB position battle. Based on personality traits it would affect both the winner and loser differently. An entertainer would like to be traded or released. A team leader would accept the results. An intense player would continue to fight for the number one spot and could receive either a temporary boost or gets increased XP when in the game etc...

Or use more advanced metrics and analytics to make determinations who won the battle, for defense especially. Pass rush win rate, missed tackles, catches allowed/catch%, etc. The binary stat based ones are too restrictive. Things like PBUs, or sacks, tackles, etc aren't real indicators of success or they're too situational.

This was a great idea but it seems like they devoted roughly 10 seconds into making sure it was implemented correctly and didn’t sound stupid 99.99% of the time. 😂😂

Just a heads up for everybody. The position battle story lines make NO difference in franchise. Never pick the “he’s our starter” option. Your teams entire morale will drop by 20. Just pick any one of the arbitrary stats it gives you to decide who one the position battle, and move on. When it says “so and so won the position battle. Do you agree”? Whatever you do just agree. The depth chart doesn’t even change after the outcome, and there is no penalty whatsoever for playing the other guy instead. The guy who SUPPOSEDLY won the position battle will get a small attribute boost for like the first 3-4 games of the season, but other than that there is no penalty to going with who you want as the starter

Just pick any one of the arbitrary stats it gives you to decide who one the position battle, and move on. When it says “so and so won the position battle. Do you agree”? Whatever you do just agree. I made this mistake when I first started playing lol, I cheated and went into the settings and raised my morale back up to 50.

Actually every Niners fan I know wouldn't mind seeing Mitchell gone since he can't seem to stay on the field,especially in the most important games.

Yes. There's no(or very little) scenarios in owner mode. But I will say you can avoid all scenarios if you just don't interact with them. You can pick and choose which ones to do. The owner mode has you handling all team finances including setting prices and doing stadium upgrades.
