Things Madden 25 can borrow from College 25

Hopefully EA sees this thread in effort to help improve Madden 25 and most definitely 26.

    1. College football A.I., Difficulty, & Play calling.
    2. Wear & Tear system
    3. College football standard camera angle
    4. Team play styles & Coaching Styles - Aggression, Hurry Up Offense, Blitzing, etc..

I would like to go in to Baltimore game planning to stop Lamar, Andrews, and Henry and expect to have to gameplan for that top 5 defense.
Against the Jets needing to run the ball due to the secondary.
If the QB is low rated the cpu should gameplan to manage the clock, play conservative, & vice versa

I want to see the teams play to their strengths and know their weaknesses

    5.College 25 play call screen
    6. College kicking meter difficulty

Agree with everything but the camera angle. I hated it at first, but now I prefer the standard angle in M25. It’s too far out in CFB25 for my tastes. Ideally, I’d like a hybrid of the two or M24’s camera.

I’ll take Madden 24 camera back. I don’t get why they just didn’t add the new camera instead of taking out the Madden 24 camera smh. Their decisions are horrible

Mass substitutions would be such a welcome addition and have the CPU actually use them as seen in CFB25. Late in games when the game is outta reach, it takes forever to sub guys out in the depth chart.

I hope they patch in Wear & Tear to Madden. Huge disappointment not having it in at launch. Wear & Tear is more prominent in the Pros, so if anything it should've been added to Madden 1st. The game desperately needs it for realism & strategy. Don't make us wait until next year to add it. Patch it in like they did with Revamped Passing!

Wish the cpu would use timeouts throughout the half instead of at the end, also wish they would spike the ball to kill the clock when necessary.

CFB25 has adaptive AI meaning the AI will adjust to your tendencies through their own play calling and their own pre-play adjustments. If you come out in a certain formation that you run dive out of 90% of the time, the AI will see this and teams will begin playing to stop the dive against that formation. They'll pinch their DL, they'll bring an extra body into the box, etc.

And, if you get predictable on the defensive side of the ball, the AI will take advantage of this as well. Run cover 4 over and over and over? Expect the CPU to eventually run a concept baiting your safety down low while a post runs free behind him.

It's not perfect, but it was a great foundational year for the feature this year. If they can really expand on it and make it more dynamic, smarter, and unique to each coach in the game, it will really take the gameplay to unprecedented territory. This type of mechanic is desperately needed in all sports games, and really all video games, imo.

As for the play calling they mentioned. Right now the play calling in Madden is essentially broken for the CPU on current gen consoles. Been this way since last year. The CPU passes the ball 75% of the time on average which is far from a realistic ratio. In CFB, this isn't the case as the playbooks and gameplans are done better leading to teams playing more realistically in that game from a play calling standpoint. Throw in the adaptive AI and it works leaps and bounds better than it does in Madden.

I guess no one has mentioned it but how about the stadium pulse? Not saying every NFL stadium is difficult to play in but certainly some places are, I want to have a challenge when playing on the road because of the crowd. It's pitiful in Madden compared to college 25

Presentation. Its pretty cool hearing the announcing crew name-dropping, like for instance Testeverde and Ray Lewis and Ed Reed when playing Miami. I would love hearing Namath and Klecko and Gastineau when playing with my Jets.

Run the dang clock down at the end of games please. One of my favorite surprise features for CFB. I love that if the other team has zero chance of stopping the clock or too little time or a blowout the kneel down goes to 0 time remaining. It's the biggest littlest thing.

One thing I would want CFB to borrow from Madden is the Pre-Snap movement on defense. It's a little feature that makes it look more realistic, especially when disguising coverages
