Does wear and tear make games too easy late in the season?

I don’t think there’s any debate that season long wear and tear affects CPU teams more than users. I like the system (a LOT), but I don’t wanna make late season games too easy.

I’m in game 12 and while I’ve battled wear and tear in every game of the season (my spread option QBs and HBs and always worn and torn as are my DL and LBs) but going into the final game against rival Kentucky (who has a more talented team) I have no one that starts the game worn and torn (although in my previous game my starting QB had to sit out the 1st half due to wear and tear).

I’m looking @ Kentucky’s depth chart and the following starters (whom the CPU won’t bench due to wear and tear like I would) begin the game with -10 to -20 penalties to key attributes:
    LT, LG, C, RG, RT,

and these starters have roughly -5 to attributes:
    HB, WR, TE

8/11 starters on defense are worn and torn with increased injury risk, but aren’t receiving penalties yet.

TLDR: Is it worth having wear and tear turned on if it makes your late season opponents much weaker than they should be? In my example above, I don’t see how Kentucky’s OL can behave as anything other than Swiss cheese.

I've liked it since day 1. I've lost some close games at the end of the year because MY guy was hurt. I also had a dynasty season where I lost my QB the week before the CFP National Championship because I was playing him through his wear and tear.

So to me no, I think it's pretty good. But I would like to ability to mess with it without turning it off. I'm not sure if there is a slide for it, but a slide for position groups would be cool.

I’ve gotten my share of season ending injuries, but I think that’s a different system than wear and tear, and I imagine I’d still get those injuries even if I turned it off.
