Love your rosters and have for years. The only thing I don't like is putting the retired players to the ECHL... Having an ECHL club in my city, I play a season simultaneously with my franchise (which this year for the first time ever, I may be starting the 32nd franchise in Cincinnati with an expansion draft, so current rosters may be a moot point this year anyway), and I have to do a lot of editing to get the rosters back right (which was a task last year, took me about a week LOL... Wish there was somewhere else they could fall versus on a North American League... And by the way, I will NOT be competing with you this year and accidentally take your name in my rosters like I did last year... That's my promise... I am just going to add a 25-draft class on my own and go with it... I never play more than a second season of franchise usually, so no need for me to go too deep in the roster creation process... I may post this one draft class with editions, but It will not be called Franchise ready!!!! =)

I just wish EA would add the old WHA logos... I would love to re-start the Cincinnati Stingers!!!

I thought of that this year and while I wait for the opening day rosters and play around I may send them to free agency and lower a stat so no team signs them but just add players to the echl when needed such as goalies and players. The only exception is players that have NHL rights will have to be moved to AHL. My top wish of ECHL in franchise didn't make it in lol.

I have a feeling we are close to having creation like Madden 25 and CFB25. They are the testers and hopefully we can add all the logos next year for teams and create custom goalie masks. Although they did add 16 new goalie masks this year.

Can you sign FA (retired players) with an NHL team and then using Player Movement just place them on a random European team? Or are they full and you'd have to swap someone?

If you sign a retire player and move them to Europe once you enter franchise they will go to your team and not stay in europe.

If you use player movement and just place them on a europe team they may show up still in FA in franchise.

Europe teams are not full and have room for players.

If you are trying to get them to not sign to a team in franchise just lower the overall rating and they should retire soon.

I usually send retired players to the Champions League rosters and they never show up in Franchise... I keep LTIR players who will never play again (Ryan Ellis, Carey Price, Rob Lehner to name a few) on rosters because they count against the cap but edit them to be a 36 rated player... And then there is Landeskog... I edited him down two points, but I think I am going to do another edit because if the guy ever comes back, he will not be an 86 rated player... His knee is shot, his skills aren't sharp, he should probably be an 81 at best at this point with Top 6 forward low potential...

Oh I never thought of putting them in the Champions League since yea that league does nothing for franchise too. This will help keep echl open for players who like to play season.

Yeah Champions League is a good place to house the walking wounded... I am not sure why this league is even in the game to be honest, but glad it is because it is a good place to just put players out of sight, out of mind...

What's your plan for getting a the main teams that are currently over the cap to go under

Not sure yet waiting to see how teams are set obviously we can't set IR or LTIR and we can't set salary cap retained out of franchise. Yea draft pick movement is great especially for the trade deadline as I can follow along and release it that day or the next.
