What are we expecting from the PS5 Pro patch? -

The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Don't know about EA CFB, but I know Madden has a Quality and Performance mode. So, I expect Madden to combine those graphic modes. So, I expect CFB to follow suit. I expect increased resolution at a locked 60fps.
Can a game actually be "patched" to increase fps and graphics? Just seems like that would require a full reprogram. Can anyone remember any existing games being patched to work with the PS4 Pro? Not talking about rereleases or remasters but where you could play a game you already owned at 8K (for example).

better hardware would normally get better framerate, unless something weird with the newer hardware causes stutters instead.
I wouldn't expect better graphics, unless they up the native resolution, that would require some kind of update for the game. I wouldn't expect that for CF25 though.
EA sneaky…NCAA currently is not 4K and locks at a lower resolution…they likely did this on purpose with the pro coming out. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit that they up resolution while running in 4K with PS5 Pro. They will promote it a bunch…one of NCAA weaknesses is that the graphics are not nearly as good as Maddens. Greediness is dangerous.
I don't really care about CFB25's graphics as they seem good enough for me, but there's no question the game kinda looks like crap compared to this year's Madden.
I find it hard to believe that this game can't run at 4K/60FPS on the regular PS5.

It's definitely a step down from Madden24/25. I came from playing Madden on the PC, true native 4k, I bought a ps5 just to play CFB25 and the first thing I noticed was how poor the resolution was.

Yeah, it's kind of hard not to notice, huh? Sort of an eyesore, especially when you look side by side with Madden.
That's great that they're going to sharpen up CFB25 on the Pro, but somehow Gran Turismo can get 15 cars w/ tons of polys in each car to run around a track in 4K/60FPS on the regular PS5 hardware.
