    I get the fear no one testing wants the game to get hectic and crazy...it just has yet to play out that way because two things I think

    Its not random. It takes the base tactical sliders and just scales up or down from that a certain percentage. So no matter how many times I play Man City their build up speed never exceeded 30 ( I think that was the highest).

    Second, I do not think the effects of the sliders are as drastic as they might sound. I have seen crosses on 0 crossing. I see patience from teams at times on 90+ build up speed. So far it just hasn't played as I have feared but more as I hope. Again open to more data.

      Is there a slider to encourage any sort of fouls? I realise I've said this every year, but how on earth you can play this game for any length of time with literally no fouls during the game is beyond me. On average there are 20 fouls in every premier league game. This game is nowhere close to this. It also means that any set piece specialists are completely redundant as you'll never take free kicks with them.

      As ever Matt you've done a great job with what you can, and you're also right in that there's definitely the hint of a good game in here, it's just a shame that you become the extra development arm that EA can't be arsed employing in order to make this game exciting.

        Changing the refs to very strict is about the only thing. If you wanna draw fouls you have to take some risk and be good at maneuvering with your dribble. Im seeing less and less since the game speed is where it's at.

          Wow! I have just played one of the best and exciting games in a long time, i even lost 3-1.

          I am trying out dynamic instead of tactical and its much more enjoyable! Definitely recommend.

          Really great base of set of sliders, thank you. Made a few changes because i always play around 6-7 minutes per half but it can be really great once it clicks. Loads of potential this year.

            This slider set is a great base. However I have been playing with two modifications.

            Sprint back at default 50. I think 50 sprint offers more realistic animations and interactions between players also resulting in more fouls.

            Marking back at default 50. This allows more proper defensive shapes. With marking higher it becomes man marking all over the field which is unrealistic as it drags players out position.

            My two cents.

              I really am enjoying playing with these and I'm pretty pleased that players are executing their roles, almost too well. I'm playing on legendary with tactical sliders now. Slightly upped shot error, pass error, and first touch 5 clicks each. I'm keeping an eye on the CPU attack.

                Hello
                This year I found sliders and Dynamic strategy very usefull. It's a fresh air in FIFA /EA FC serie. When PSG and City Always have ground passes, this year thèse teams made Real crosses and have clever strategies.
                It's the best start since a long Time. I love it

                  Lambzy on YT released his set, hoping this isn't against forum rules but thought with it being a link it will be good to compare too. I'm looking to try fully manual this year which is how he plays so player beware. Good insight on his selections though

                    Those sliders look way off tbh. Some absolutely whacky values, FT error 5/99 and GK ability 75/35 lol

                        I'm having a lot of trouble with CBs never closing down and letting people run by them. Specifically with 3 at the back formations. If I don't user my own CBs, the cpu can literally run down the middle and my CBs will stay split like he's Moses on the Red Sea :P

                        I also see a similar issue with the CPU CBs. They give up far too much space in the middle and seem unwilling to close down on the ball carrier. Although much less-so than my own.

                        Is there a tactics switch that can make this better?

                          I noticed the same last night, but I am not sure it has anything to do with the set. Seems to me it has to do with the bug where players seem to slow as some games I had no troubles and others my players would be in quicksand even with me taking control.

                            I think I found a sweet spot at Legendary, 8 minutes a half, Matt's sliders except for Sprint Speed and Pass Speed both set to 40.

                            I found it a slow paced game with a more natural animation and whole game experience feel.

                            I've been getting more real life like game results and gameplays as a whole.

                              I manually change the player roles for the CPU cbs to stoppers if they are "defenders". That causes just a huge drop in the CPU backline. I've also increased the player speed to 33.

                                Regarding the link I posted (won't let me directly reply on mob), it's made for Manual play only, hence questionable figures. I just had a match with it and whilst pass speed is a tad high, what I really got from it is the CPU behaviour - tackle aggression 99, buildup speed 25, cross frequency 75 + dribble & skill move at 35 worked absolute wonders. I first thought the low build up speed would cause it to be a bit of a bore fest but it was far from it. Playing Villa and they were passing the ball round nicely inside their half, but once they advanced they looked incredibly immersive with interlinking play/shots from distance/multiple crosses. I'm going out these CPU sliders combined with Matt's (but with the higher speed and acceleration + discrepancies for manual play) and will update accordingly. First summary is if testing, 100% mess about with CPU behaviour, it could be a game changer this year...
