Re: Undisputed Deluxe WBC Edition Launches Today - Post Your Impressions

I'm no boxing expert by any stretch, but playing this game requires patience, strategy, pacing, mixing up punches. Boxer ratings add additional layers to this as well.
Previous games, playing sim was a choice, this game punishes you if you're reckless and in essence FORCES you to play sim to have success.

Used gatti vs cpu ward. Tried to swarm ward with little care, lost handily. In the rematch, I boxed a lot more and won 5/6 rounds. 7th round, gatti's eyes getting swollen shut( bad swell/cut ratings) , and the game again forced me to switch up to become way more defensive.

Match ended in a split decision draw.

Next match I used lyndon arthur vs rokohl. I saw that Arthur has below average stamina ratings. You need to play according to your fighters' ratings. I use 1.5 stamina, so more taxing.

I basically fought to conserve energy for the first half of the fight and try to flurry at the end of rounds. Because in the previous match with Arthur, I got gassed after the 5th round throwing 60 punches a round.

This match I won easily.

Regarding stamina, boxer ratings have a large effect. I used Lyndon Arthus 80 stamina fighter, versus bivol a 92 stamina fighter. More or less the same output, but I gassed considerably quicker.

Game is a hit in my eyes, looking forward for DLC fighters and see the tuning the devs make to the gameplay. Adding a clinch would be nice especially if tied into fighter ai. Some fighters rarely clinch some guys live off of it.

Game is 9/10 in my eyes.
