Questions in Franchise

I've been playing franchise mode for a few days now and notice a couple things:
1) My settings don't save from game to game. I have to go in and manually change the settings back to what I created a few days ago at the beginning of each game. It's kind of frustrating to have to do that before each game.

2) What's up with the line changes? I either don't know how, or manual line change isn't working in the game, which is what I have the setting on.

1) This has been an issue for awhile now. They are aware of it and looking into it. Last year I would have to set my settings how I would like them and enter Franchise and save my franchise and so how it saves the settings as unsaved preset.

2) On playstation to change lines its square and circle.

No you can’t. Do whatever editing you want prior to starting a franchise. Save that roster and make it your active roster and then start your franchise.

Does this apply to Jersey numbers too? Or can they be edited once in Franchise Mode?

You can only change jersey numbers for all teams outside of franchise once in franchise you can only change your teams numbers.

So you mean to tell me they don't know why that happens ??

I was under the impression that they made it that way on purpose for some reason.

One time on the EA Forums I remember one of the the offical EA forum people saying the reason a lot of the franchise stuff changed was because we shouldn't have the same access as the coach does during the game. If you remember on NHL 23 you couldn't change the strategies IN the game on your franchise.

I thought for some foolish reason they made it so it wouldn't save from game to game. But in actuality it is some sort of error that they can figure out ??

That says a lot for why this game has had so many issues from year to year.

Yes very true! The difference is from NHL 23 to NHL 24 a new team took over the game. Could explain why the change and why they can't figure it out.

Can someone please explain to me why EA won't let you change the settings profile once you begin a Franchise game???? I forget to make sure the right sliders were loaded up before I started my first franchise game. It won't let you change it once the game starts !?!?

I could just start the game over but since it doesn't let you save the strategies and line adjustments I would just have to put that in ALL OVER again. That completely ruins your immersion and it a pain in the azz to have to keep doing this stuff.

I don't see why they just don't let you do this stuff on the coach screen for your franchise??

People complain about 2K but you can change your sliders as many times as you wish during ANY franchise game with no problem at all.

Amazing that you pay $70 for a game and EA says you will only make strategies how WE want.

2k is money hungry but at least they let you the user control the experience.

Question for you...

Are you sure your in FRANCHISE?

Before you play any OFFLINE mode got into settings and setup your sliders. I suggest using these https://forums.operationsports.com/f...lider-set.html

If you want a REAL hockey experience and not that GARBAGE EASHL Deke fest crap.

When you mean SETTING what exactly do you mean? there are 100s of settings.

LINE changes are made by using the D-Pad - LEFT for DEFENSE and RIGHT for OFFENSE. If you have the USER STRATEGY Adjustment any higher than 1 the coach will change lines on you. Also make sure Line changes are set to MANUAL for both HOME and AWAY games.

Ill try to help but need more info.

What is SETTING PROFILE? ALL that needs to be changed BEFORE you start a game like real life.

YOU can change strategies during the game and pregame which is when it should be changed. IMO, STRATS should be changed every game based on who you play. That seems to be a part of the little things that actually make this game deeper. I like that having to be aware of my STRATS before every game. Regardless it literally takes 10 seconds to change them

Are you saying you cant change lines at All?
if so, There is a setting that needs to be changed to MANUAL for line changes to be USER controlled. Its in the same spot where you change SHOT AIM.
