One of the many things I loved about 14 was you could put any player at any position. You want your tight end to run the ball? Sure. You want to put in your fastest player at QB and run the wildcat. Go right ahead. You see things like this happen every week in College Football. Maybe the NIL contract doesn’t allow it? But that’s kinda ridiculous imo. I think the only thing we shouldn’t be able to change about a player are his name, bio, and skin color. Everything else should be fair game

i agree. customization was the biggest and most appreciated feature of the ncaa football series. if the ncaa or ea sports is worried about NIL problems, just make it so any customization can not be used in on-line games or able to be downloaded on the games community page. youll be able to still download sliders, playbooks, teambuilder teams...just no shared rosters. correct me if im wrong, but that is all this community wants...the ability to edit/customize their teams for private use only. i know this dead horse has been beaten to a pulp, but there has to be something that could be done for private use customization. -

I agree with this. I will say the sub formations to be done in the menu and not during the game. I am still afraid to do my custom conferences because they will cause goofy week by week results, not enough home games late in the season, or make my PS5 blow up.Comment

The lack of formation subs may be the single biggest thing holding NCAA 25 back for me. The lack of custom playbook organization is a problem but one I can work around, but not being able to run certain formations and plays for certain players using formation subs kills so much of what I want to do.
With NCAA 14, if I happened to have a 98+ speed WR, I would formation sub him into the HB position and run toss to him for my goal line series or I would formation sub an exceptionally good pass catching TE to the solo side of a 3x1. It really allowed for a level of strategy and customization that made the game better.Comment

I definitely agree on Formation Subs.
I don't know if it can be patched in like Mass Subs. But, it's something that I would want in this year if possible. It's a big QOL feature for me. With having 85 man rosters, it would be useful. We all have players who are lower in the depth chart that we want to give snaps too. I have instances where my Backup RB is already preset in 45% of my formations for some reason. I want to be able to have my WR1 all over the field. But, defensively is where I really want Formation sets.
