Cleveland snow game is how it should look in Madden

Man I wish EA would revamp their engine to mimic real time weather or at least upgrade the way bad weather looks in the game.

Madden has never come close visually to replicating what were seeing tonight in Cleveland.

Imagine seeing this in a CPU vs CPU in broadcast camera

Honestly, while watching that game I had the same thoughts haha. I couldn’t stop thinking how awesome it would be if both Madden and CFB teams revamped the weather for 26 and actually got the snow games looking like snow games. Would be really cool.

        Yeah I made a mistake

But it also applies to CFB because the weather visuals and effects are still the same in this game as Madden

Same could be same for CFB too. I do think to an extent snow looks better and plays better in CFB 25 but its still light years beyond where it should be.

Not surprised, EA even made the weather effects in the soccer game look bad the past 3 years. You use to be able to play fog or hazey games in FIFA. Not anymore, now their weather is as a plain as Madden and CFB.

Lol why would I want to play a game where I can't see anything?

Because it adds to the immersion, realism, and challenge of the game. Plus playing in weather is a huge home-field advantage that your team should properly benefit from.

Is this a real question or you just messing with us?

Just asking because football is a outdoor sport and sometimes the elements play a key factor

Are you familiar with the Fog Game between Philadelphia and Chicago back in the old Soldier field?

While I agree, there are so few of us that actually want effects like that to the point where you can’t even recognize what’s happening on the field. So many people would be mad and frustrated that they can’t see anything. A lot of people get mad with the crowd impact on the play art, this would cause a ton more complaints.

Also what it looks like on TV is way different than on the field. It’s tough to see from the camera POV, but on the field the players can see much better. So you’re playing the game in camera that your players wouldn’t have as much difficulty seeing, which takes away some gameplay realism. They should crank it up but not have it as bad as the Cleveland game was just so we can actually see what’s going on.

I’d rather see more gameplay impact from the weather effects than visual. Rain or snow games should feel like it when passing/running.

Yeah the chances of bad or terrible weather is the reason why teams fight to get home field advantage in the playoffs. Teams hated to play up north during the playoffs in January. Be it at the Patriots or Packers. If you weren't use to that level of coldness or snow, it totally threw teams whole game plans off. Much like going to Denver made away teams tired as hell because of the altitude.

I would settle for light, medium and heavy for the following:

                      Rain
                      Snow
                      Fog

Then give me a blizzard option as well. I would be in heaven.

Sure, it's cool to watch, but as someone already pointed out, as a person who plays the games (not CPU v CPU), the ability to not see my players would not be fun. I'd rather not have to squint through a dynasty game to enjoy playing

Some of the best games in the history of football both college and pro are great because of weather. Ice bowl, fog bowl, Leon Lett Thanksgiving Day gamethese moments were made possible because of weather. I get online players may not want this, but us franchise would be watering at the mouth to have games that could us similar moments. Oh by the way the Tuck Rule game the list goes on and on.

In dynasty, I'd also like them to give us a weather forecast for our upcoming game. I hate loading into a game and the field is covered in snow and you're racing to change your gameplan for how you're going to play.

On the game select screen, they could show us something like:

                            Forecast: 34 degrees, snow.

                            Or, chance of snow: 25%

That way, you may load in and the field is covered, or you may have a clear field. Just let me know so I can plan accordingly.

Fantastic ending, and the one thing I always remember when thinking of Lett on Thanksgiving, is him getting the last laugh and Dallas rendering the outcome inconsequential. The Cowboys didn't lose again that season, and the Dolphins didn't win again.
