    Player Injuries in College 25

It seems like players never get hurt besides for in-game injuries. With Injury slider on 56 now, I’ve never have player(s) hurt for weeks @ a time or out for season possibly. Seems like injuries were nerfed cause I recall seeing some when the game released. I’m playing multiple Dynasties and seeing this issue. Anyone else??

You can get some by raising the fatigue slider. But it still isn't enough.

What I do now before I play a game is save, simulate that game, and check injuries. Anyone on the injury list I write down how long they'll be out, and manually remove them from my Depth chart until they're back. It's still not enough (sim injuries are also way too infrequent, but at least this way I'm on a level field with the CPU

I went up to 92 fatigue and still only got a couple of injuries over the course of a dozen games or so (I've dropped back down to 85 and haven't had a multi week injury again in probably 10 games or so).

I simmed a couple seasons just to track week by week injuries for simmed games, and yeah, the average peaks at around 2.20-2.50 per team starting in Week 9. Still quite a few teams at the end of the regular seasons without a Injury. And I've never seen a team have more than 8 in a given week.

If simmed Injuries were roughly doubled, I think that'd still be pretty reasonable.

Uh, my offline dynasty is going through an injury crisis right now and the injuries are all on the defense side, while I'm not controlling, and one happened in between weeks. I kept fatigue at 50 the whole time since a few seasons ago I lost 2 HBs in one game - one for a season and change, another came back for the national championship game.

I think there's some RNG issue that wasn't tested enough because the injuries keep happening on plays that shouldn't be causing injuries. One of my HBs got hurt on a fake throw to him in the end zone - but he wasn't even tackled, he just wasn't open. Did I miss a memo where eligibile receivers can get rekt just by virtue of being eligible? That particular bug seems to be a one-off, but I've been carrying extra kick/punt returners because they would randomly get hurt on seemingly normal plays too.

I don't know which patch was the one that started it all but definitely not the release.

Most of my injuries come from contact. How many of your injuries didn’t? You’re acting like no contact injuries don’t happen in real life. Not only do they happen (not as frequently as contact injuries, but they absolutely happen), but they’re often the most severe injuries.

Are you super simming defense? And what is your injury slider at? Because injuries seem to happen more if you super sim, and the injury slider plays a big role in that (as opposed to minimal impact on played games and no impact on fully simmed games).

Re: Player Injuries in College 25

Currently have injuries at 55 and fatigue at 75 (my settings for several seasons now).

Last year, my quarterback missed most of the year with a broken leg. A safety went out late in that same year with a fractured shoulder blade, and he's also missed most of the following season. I had a DT miss about half the year.

This season, I have a starting linebacker out for the year with a torn pec, and my tight end got a broken collarbone.

All occurred when playing, not simming. Haven't simmed a snap with this team.

I can't tell, actually, because they happen off screen unless I'm the ball carrier or within my field of view on offense. On defense I'm focused on the playe/zones I'm covering and they aren't the players getting hurt. I know that injuries happen without contact (as an Angels fan I'm keenly aware that a relatively conspiracy-minded fan base still lacks anything close to a coherent theory as to how he got injured for most of the year even though the in-game video doesn't show anything that is obvious or even really discernible). I know they happen in EA-made games all the time - I play all of them. It doesn't really make it any more comforting though.

My ball carrier injuries mostly come from contact, or more precisely contact + wear and tear. I don't super-sim unless it's a play with 3 seconds left after a kickoff with like 5 seconds left before halftime, because I'm paranoid about the AI's ability to properly play defense or block properly. All these years of Madden does take a toll I think. Also, the freshmen are actually the first draft class I had control over as HC since I was OC at Stanford until they hired 2 HCs over me and I got pissed off. I don't know how relevant that is but the recruitment AI is utterly nuts (Oregon getting 15 4 star recruits by week 6 every season? Really?) so I will concede that it's entirely possible that the previous regime played so differently that the players are poorly suited for my defense, but it's not obvious that they are.

I have reset my fatigue and injury back to defaults. At my last team I had both tweaked up so the players would rotate but it screwed up my offense way too much. I sim very little - I already play Football Manager and OOTP and FHM and the injuries don't seem to be related to that unless pgoression and simming are treated similarly under the hood - which I can't really tell.

AI generally have 0-2 injuries, with one very notable exception for some reason.

I usually get a couple a season like this. Most of my injuries are short term, but I get the occasional long term ones as shown.
