The FCS
What are the odds that a full fleshed out FCS would make it's way into the game at some point? All FCS teams in their proper conferences with their playoff format?

Re: The FCS
I imagine it's on the agenda.
I doubt we see it next year, but I bet that it's something they're eventually gonna get in.Boston Red Sox

Re: The FCS
That's another 129 teams. That's nearly doubling the stadiums, players, and uniforms that need to be designed and added to the game. On top of how many resources they'd have to devote to creating all that (which realistically means fewer resources going elsewhere), it'd also probably result in a large increase in the file size (it's not a major issue, but I personally really like how compact this game is, storage-wise).

The amount of effort you identified is the reason I don't expect it to happen soon. I would expect to get selected conferences initially. Big Sky, Big South-OVC, CAA, and MVC. Those conferences have quite a few of the teams I expect will move up to FBS.Comment

Re: The FCS
The ones on the PS2 days never had all of the teams/conferences and had them play in a generic stadium.
I'd rather have that than nothing at allComment

Re: The FCS
I would be surprised if it happened anytime soon, just because it's somewhat niche and wouldn't affect most people's decisions for whether to buy the game. And they went the entire PS3/360 generation without doing it.
If they did it, it would probably just be to host them as buy games in Dynasty - no ability to use them in Dynasty, no FCS playoffs, no real stadiums, possibly no real players. Just my best guess, obviously.Comment

Re: The FCS
I could see them adding 12 or so FCS teams to add to the current generic FCS.
But long term, this should not be a priority. And I don't think it will be.Funkycorm

Re: The FCS
*IF* they do eventually add them (which I previously stated I think they will), they aren't going to pick and choose which teams to include. It's going to be the entire FCS.Boston Red Sox

Re: The FCS
Unless they plan on making it a full fledge "feature" I don't see them adding all FCS teams in one year. At least not with 100% real stadiums. I could see them, and I kind of hope at minimal, adding a few teams here and there each year, maybe conference by conference.Comment

Re: The FCS
People have been asking for generic stadiums to use in Teambuilder, so adding some FCS programs (with generic stadiums) could be a solution to two items on many people's wishlists.
Maybe add the SWAC and MEAC and include the Celebration Bowl at the end of the season. It's only 18 teams (I think) and the bowl stadium is already in the game. I think some of the neutral site game stadiums are also already in the game.Comment

Re: The FCS
While it is anybody's guess, I think that would depend entirely on EA Sports adding a College Basketball Game and / or other college game to their offerings. Another college sport would require them to add all of Division I, so the all FCS teams have been negotiated with. That would also add additional complexity to the game, such as a second playoff system... a 12-team and 24-team playoff. Without another college game, I would expect them to add only the bigger teams and conferences with the possibility of eventually adding them all.
They will have to add Delaware and Missouri State for next year's game. To me, this would be incentive to begin to add teams that are planning to move up or may potentially decide to join. Most of the artwork and animations for teams moving up would already be available to them.Comment
