Diamond Dynasty vs. March to October/Franchise

I'll admit I've been super heavy into DD the past few years of this game's release. Tonight after grinding through everything released in Season 4 (and also having completed literally everything else released throughout DD), I started up an MtO with my hometown Guardians.

It's actually such a breath of fresh air to play with lower rated pitchers and hitters! Playing DD with basically every card juiced is like playing with and against super humans. Throwing 102 with pinpoint precision or blasting 500 foot no-doubters don't happen during each and every at bat in MtO.

Playing with normal rated players results in more baseball type plays... More weak contact, more dribblers, home runs that are not always no-doubters, pitchers with normal accuracy, more walks, giving up more hits, etc. it just feels more.... correct to what baseball actually plays like on the MLB field.

I must say I'm loving it and I'm kind of addicted right now!

I've found the same thing having dabbled in DD the past couple years. It's fun to collect the cards and build your team and unlock new players, but there is definitely something refreshing about playing with lower rated players in franchise mode or MtO. DD scratches an itch to collect/unlock, but the other modes scratch more of a simulation baseball itch.

I've been addicted to MTO. I love trading for prospects and using fast tracks/call ups for development and watching the progress.

I like to play DD with nothing but Mets players , I refuse to play with non-Mets. But the gulf between 1 and 2,3,4 is HUGE. If I could play DD as every game a minimum nine inning affair, that gap between 1 and 2 would be reduced greatly. As it stands, Franchise is for my serious baseballing, and Diamond Dynasty is just a nice side distraction.
