Title Update News??

Anyone know if EA is done with patching/updating this game? I haven't heard anything and check daily to see if they'll be updating this title any further?

I hope they do because there's much to improve upon - the little things such as a Trophy Room, Formation Subs, explanation of what all the little icons, etc. mean in the game, the fact that my DE won Heisman, set the Sack record, but failed to be an All-American AND/OR get Drafted, and on and on.

It's a fun game but it's lacking a lot of these little things to keep you coming back to it.

I'd like to see another few title updates before a new one comes out.

There's at least one more patch coming, because Kane said they have another uniform update coming, and those come with title updates.

Anything outside of that, you've got the same amount of info as everyone else.

Thanks for this info - glad to hear another update is coming. I'm hoping it's not just uniforms, though.

My guess would be this week (probably Thursday morning) to coincide with the end of the regular season. Probably a roster update too.

That said, we're probably really close to the end of support for this game. We're at 40 days since the last update, and just one update in 75 days. They haven't even done Server Maintenance in 21 days, after mostly doing it every 7 days previously.

With last Thursday being Thanksgiving, all patterns and signs point towards it being released this Thursday.

I’m thinking this is the last one or there could be one more in January which would be a 6 month life cycle for CFB25.

There are a NUMBER of bug fixes I want to see done, but I don't think we'll see a lot of fixes until CFB26.

At the very least I hope they get the new helmets/facemasks into CFB25 that were added into Madden25.

There's Server Maintenance tonight/tomorrow morning. And while they've obviously done Server Maintenance without there being an update, I don't believe they've done a title update without doing Maintenance. So I think we'll very likely be getting an update.

I would guess all work will move to CFB 26 within the next month or so. On a side note, next year I am going to try and treat this game like I would Madden where I'm not buying it until gameplay updates have been completed.

Fwiw some guy I watch on Youtube who correctly predicted the last patch predicted one for this Thursday. He thinks it will be a significant ratings and uniform update, along with some on field tweaks.

He had a list of other stuff they might include, but everything else seemed kind of unrealistic IMO. I'm just wondering how many uniforms we might get, and if there will be any classic ones.

I would guess all work will move to CFB 26 within the next month or so. On a side note, next year I am going to try and treat this game like I would Madden where I'm not buying it until gameplay updates have been completed.

It will depend for me. For me to buy it day 1 (still not preordering though) there would have to be confirmed significant improvements from CFB25 that would be important to me, plus confirmed no taking away any of the customization (ratings, numbers, names, height/weight/position of recruits), plus no huge bugs to gameplay.

If it checks all those boxes there's a good chance I get it within a week of release. Some of that stuff we will likely know before release, but as for no major bugs I'd probably have to wait and see what people say who actually buy the game.

If it wasn't worn this season, there's probably close to a 0% chance it gets added. They're missing 29 jerseys, and need significant corrections to another 4. And that's without getting into pants and helmets. Only 42 out of 134 teams have everything they've worn this season already in the game. They need to worry about current stuff before working on classic stuff.

We should stop kidding ourselves like this. They’re not working on a new game; they’re working on THIS game. But they won’t let us have any of the fruits of that work until we pay another $70. I’m getting really tired of it, personally. Just move to a subscription/live service model at this point.

Each individual school decides what uniforms they want in the game not EA.

They do, but EA does drag out the releases of the uni's. USF confirmed before the game was released what uniform combos they sent over for use and EA has not updated any of their uniforms since launch. Now, I'm sure USF isn't the only school, but it does get frustrating with each uniform update seeing other schools like SHSU, Rice, Buffalo, etc all get updates and USF still has stock uniform options. WE WANT THE "SLIME"! We want the neon green with white & black.
