    Make College Football Regional Again

Hello and welcome to my first CFB 25 dynasty. I've really enjoyed the game this year, but I haven't done a dynasty that I post on the forums. The recent playoff conversation has me nostalgic for the good ole days when super conferences didn't exist, so I started messing around with conference alignment to see what I come up with. I'll start with the conference alignments below.

Power Seven: All 7 conferences have 10 members and play 9 conference games.
ACC: Florida State, NC State, Georgia Tech, UNC, Clemson, Duke, UCF, Miami, South Carolina, Wake Forest

American: Louisville, Penn State, Virginia Tech, WVU, Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College, Syracuse, Virginia, Pitt

Big 12: Texas, SMU, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, Houston, Arkansas, Baylor

Big Ten: Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan State, Indiana, Cincinnati, Notre Dame

CUSA: Missouri, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Northwestern, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, BYU

PAC 12: Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Oregon State, USC, Cal, UCLA, Washington State, Stanford, Arizona State

SEC: Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt

Group of 3 (MAC, MWC, Sun Belt): All conferences have 20 members, no divisions, and play 10 conference games. Pictured below.

    Independents: Army, Navy, UConn, UMass.

*Note - unfortunately doing conferences like this screws with the game's home/away conference rules. You end up with a ton of home or away games in any given year for some reason..

The Maryland Terrapins open the 2024 season with a big win on the road at Baylor. Quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. threw for 207 yards on 19/30 passing and had 1 touchdown. Roman Hemby led the way on the ground, rushing for 99 yards on 17 carries. Star receiver Tai Felton got off to a hot start with 72 yards and a touchdown on 6 catches. Defensively, junior cornerback Lionell Whitaker had an interception that helped seal the victory. The Terps host Sam Houston next week in their home opener.

            Good luck..

The schedules getting screwed up when you change conferences does sorta suck. Last year in my Dynasty, I had to play 4 straight games on the road to close out the season with my last home game in Week 9. Made it tough to invite recruits to visit. So I had to do alot of Hard Sells late in the season.

The Maryland Terrapins moved to 2-0 after an ugly 15-6 win on Saturday in their home opener. The offense struggled to finish drives after quarterback Billy Edwards Jr went out with an injury. Roman Hemby finished the day with just 74 yards on 21 carries. Backup quarterback MJ Morris was 6/10 passing for 73 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, true freshman Braydon Lee tallied his first career interception. The Terps will travel to rival Virginia next week.

Seems like something that should have been easily fixed in a patch, but oh well.. If that's my biggest gripe with the game I'm pretty happy.

In our first user played game of the dynasty the Maryland Terrapins came away with a huge win over rival Virginia. The Terps got off to a hot start, scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions to take a 14-0 lead. By half, the Terps were up 24-7, and the game was all but over. The defense forced 2 turnovers to keep Maryland ahead in the field position battle.
