Peacock Madden Cast

NBC Peacock is doing a presentation today with Madden icons etc on the live Texans Chiefs. Why can't we get NBC presentation in the game? Give and take I say!

It's really crazy that 20plus years and 3 home console generations backwards 2k was able to include ESPN type halftime pregame in studio vibes and we can't get that now with ea even though they had or have the ESPN license...hell ps one at one point had John madden and pat summerall cut video clips before games..Xmas day, Thanksgiving, play off rounds and the superbowl. But again ea says nah we good on that but let's put SpongeBob/nickelodeon type gimmics into the game.

The broadcast cam of the madden cast was perfectly zoomed out. Why can't we have it in the game?

Yeah I agree, the TV presentation feel hasn't been the same since Madden 18. It really makes the game a bit boring since then. NFL football is and has always been about the TV spectacle presentation that's IT'S BAG. I have NO IDEA why they have abandoned it to bare bones. SMDH

We don’t get NBC or FOX or CBS anymore because the licensing costs money every year and they don’t even use announcers across all of the networks.

Also it used to be where the video game would want to mimic real life, but in the last 5 or so years with AR, now TV wants to mimic video game presentation. So it’s gone in the completely other direction.

A little bit off topic but I laughed at the Netflix broadcast saying that “Madden would be a nice gift”. Literally nobody wants that. Very small percentage of underage kids most likely would ask for such a Christmas gift

As soon as I heard that I pretty much turned off the football game and started watching something else.

NHL had no budgetary problems securing a NBC license recently, and they made hoards less than Madden.

They got it 10 years ago, not recently. And they got rid of it because it in 2019 because it was expensive and it limited them to what they could do for broadcaster lines. That’s another reason Madden selected their own announcers, because it’s easier for them to record new lines each week. They wouldn’t have the time to do that with the main broadcast announcers since they do more than just NFL usually.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t want it, but we aren’t getting it anymore since the broadcasts are trying to emulate the video games now.
