But it also looks like that you HAVE to keep 15 players on your active Roster at all times. So if a team only has 14 NBA players you can't even send all 3 of your 2 Way Players down to the G League. That I don't like.
I am wondering if they've implemented this wrong or if it is bugged.

In my game, I got two players injured and since then it's permanently dropped to 9 active players on the roster, with 1 definitely inactive in reserve and unable to be subbed in. One of the players is now playing through injury, and I am wondering if the game 'registers' this as being in reserve when in real terms he is actually playing.

You can actually sub all 15 players in which is not accurate. The new CBA allowed 15 players to be available but only 13 can actually play.

The other thing is, these rules are now present in all NBA Eras which is inaccurate to the time.

Probably too small of a bug for them to be bothered to fix, but I don't think it's working 100% right now.

Is your injury after the All Star Break? For some reason after the All Star Break in previous games if a player has a Yellow or Green injury they play through it.

I've noticed that about Eras. I'm playing in the Curry era and I can still sign 3 2-way players which was a new rule last year.

Is the 15 player thing accurate? I could have sworn I've seen garbage time games where more than 13 players were used in a game. I thought previously you could only dress 13 but that recently changed? Here's an example of a box score from last year. The Wizards played 14 and the Sixers played 15 players. https://www.basketball-reference.com...311060PHI.html

Just to clarify, Doncic had a "strained hip" (In November 2024) which is an injury he can play through so I kept him in my rotation. Before the injury, my two Reserve players, Prosper and Lawson, were eligible to be subbed on at any moment in the game. Since the Doncic injury, AJ Lawson does not appear eligible to be subbed in the game. So one way or another, something has happened.

You must be correct. My understanding was the new CBA allowed 15 players to suit up, but only 13 to play. However judging by these box scores it seems more are allowed. I never counted how many players actually played before now.

So you have an injured player that's playing? But now your 15th guy on the bench (2nd Reserve Spot) isn't available to sub in even though he's healthy?

I only really know how many players have played in the past because sometimes I reference real box scores when setting my minutes and I've noticed in certain games more players have played than I was previously allowed to assign minutes to. I'm still not actually sure if you can assign them minutes but at least they can be subbed in for garbage time minutes.

Yes. Luka's injury is minor so he can play through it, yet for some reason my 2nd reserve spot player isn't showing up as being able to sub on. I believe this first happened when Daniel Gafford got injured (same injury btw) and didn't revert back to normal even with a fully healthy roster.

I'll have to check what the situation is in 1-2 weeks of gameplay when Luka fully recovers from the hip strain.

By all means! It makes a lot of sense. In my goal to get stats as realistic as possible I've been looking at a lot more team stats over the last couple of years so I get it. I found that the game uses your minutes settings as a guideline but does what it actually wants to in the game anyway, so it's a bit annoying .

You could try removing Luka's injury manually and starting a game and see if Lawson suddenly becomes available.

Bought the game against my better judgement lol. Looks like after the patches it's the same issue as last year with the rotation timeline. If you create it in MyNBA then immediately go and load it in quick play, it will save correctly and work in-game.

Question because this is bugging me like crazy - how do you do load a rotation timeline in quick play?

Do you mean create it and then immediately play a game in MyNBA?

For whatever team you want to make a rotation for, set the rotation timeline in a MyNBA save and save the rotation file. Then after you close out, load your quick play roster and load the rotation you saved there. The timeline should hold.

Is there a fix for this issue for the WNBA franchise? If I leave it up to the computer, they play all starters 40 minutes and don't play subs at all simmed games. If I reset the rotations and have the cpu do it, it does the same thing. For now, I have to manually set each teams rotation.

What is interesting is that in games I played, the AI subbed players normally, despite this issue.

Do you have ACE turned on or rotation? I turned ACE off and put on rotation and it seems to fix the minutes, at least for the NBA teams.
