Did You All Know These Buttons/Controls Exist?

I can't take credit for this. I saw it on YouTube. I have no idea if they work. I haven't tried them out. They seem legit. If you already knew these controls existed, you should have shared with the rest of us (or I am way behind on the current happenings once again).

    DEFENSE:
User Press: To man up and jam a receiver/tight end (a good/great one/gamechanger) in a zone defense, choose who you want to do the jamming, press A or X, then up on right stick for man coverage, then select button of who you want to jam, get right up on him, and when the ball is hiked press A or X and down on left stick.

    OFFENSE:
Give The QB Up: To avoid wear and tear and injury and fumbles. If the QB looks like he is going to take a sack or can't escape the pocket to throw the ball away or you scramble out but have a defender bearing down on you. Hold L2 and click in right stick in. The QB falls.

Playmaker: You have a receiver that is covered, and the play seems dead. If you can roll out with the QB, move the right stick in the direction you want the RECEIVER CLOSEST TO YOU to go. Up for downfield, right for right, etc. The receiver closest to you will go in that direction towards open space.

Jimmy Jump: Goal line situations only. Get behind a blocker and this allows you to jump over the blocker. Ball carrier needs to be on conservative. Move the left stick up while holding X or square (PS).

On defense, when a QB breaks the pocket, click the Right Stick to send a QB spy or a flat defender to attack the scrambler.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

Does the player that goes after the QB have to be assigned as a spy before the snap, or is it the closest defender to the QB?

How are we supposed to know these controls if EA doesn’t tell us? Or did they?

I rarely have a spy and I always get guys going after the QB when I click the RS.

My guess is that these things were in previous Madden games and EA assumes that you’ve played them and thusly know the controls. If you’re like me and haven’t played a football game since ncaa ‘14, then you’re basically screwed.

the only madden games I've played Since NCAA 14 were because it was on game Pass/EA Play and I normally just did the super star mode as a QB. So I definitely did not know about the clicking in the RS. this will help a lot, I got burned many times by scrambling QBs.

These been in the series for both college and Madden a long time. I want to say at least since NCAA 10 and Madden 10. Grant it they been stopped talking about it but they never removed these controls either.

If there is a spy, it send them. If there isn't a spy but there is a guy sitting in the flat, he'll come (he will abandon his wideout if one's there). If there's neither (because all the guys on that side have run deep with wideouts), it doesn't do anything AFAIK.

If I am not mistaken, if anyone is in man and is stationary, like a LB sitting on a RB that's ran a hook route, then that player may commit to stopping the QB in that instance because they will have eyes on the QB.

It seems to essentially send anyone that physically sees the QB and is within X amount of yards of the LOS, so those players even in man can abandon their assignments in certain situations like that. Now, if they are chasing a RB running a flat route and they have their back turned to the QB, that's when I've noticed they won't stop and commit to the QB because it seems actual vision does play a role which I personally like.
