The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

Haha do you want the weather focus or actually the Weather Channel.

A working coach mode is a must if I am to ever purchase this game again. Aside from that, the presentation at large was better in '14.
The stadium intros weren't rushed. The player and team stat chyrons were nicer. The ticker looked cleaner and wasn't rushed. The in-game studio updates were better. The halftime show was better. Progressive lighting was implemented. The dynasty menus looked better and were more intuitive.
I found myself regretting this purchase and returning back to '14. With all the time they had to make this game, it should have been much much better. The graphics and sound are nice, but everywhere else seems to have taken a step backwards
Re: Features That Need to Return From Old College Football Games
Other than the obvious (trophy room and record keeping). Someone mentioned weather and lighting. I would love weather channel with dynamic weather for example if a game city has 80 percent of rain why not have it happen dynamically. Weather combination and changes should infinite. Also season dynamic lighting meaning as fall progresses into winter and time change plays role with lighting. A data driven weather system from the weather channel on a schools location that would be dynamic as well as seasonal. This could too all kinds of weather combinations sleet, windy or maybe even both at the same among other combinations.
Now I would like weather system Madden and could be better implemented in Madden due the less amount of cities.
I want more emphasis on game of the week as well this gets lost in all the dynasties I have done.

This is an old one, but what about the smiley face version of recruiting from 2009 and 2010? You get the smiley face showing teeth and you know that you have a positive week. If they start to drop, you better recover quick, but overdo it and continue until a red angry face, you aren't getting many points that week. I think some combination of that and a good promises system would like 2013 has, would make for a fun time.

I miss earning points that could be used toward random pennants, which unlocked different features or cheats. Sometimes you unlocked a random stadium/bowl game, or you got a boost like favorable spots, or you could make your opponent have butterfingers for the half.
It made me want to grind it out just for these pennants.

Live weather
Multiple weather options - Drizzle, rain, heavy rain, light snow, snow, blizzard, light fog, fog, heavy fog, windy. Along with being able to set the temperature and wind speed.
An actual pre-game, halftime and post game show.
Multiple camera angles - live wire, end zone from both ends, side line from both sides, broadcast.
History of rivalry games. I use to love reading about them in the old games.

This game feels like they finished a few years back and the last few years have just been spent gathering information from all the schools. It just feels very unpolished for something that was delayed an extra year for development

I doubt it was actually delayed. I think they set a very aggressive release goal that they were unlikely to achieve. As you stated this game is fairly unpolished. I was originally highly disappointed with the game because I have similar expectations as you did. I doubt they had a playable dynasty mode 18 months ago.

I kinda liked the "ESPN Instant Classic" rating where it would assign your game a score and save it in a hall of fame of sorts. I think it would be cool to allow you to save box scores and drop them into your own archive.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

I've played... 1300 hours so far, completely agreed that it's unpolished but I have a different theory:
- I think that covid severely hampered the development cycle for this game, and it could have used another year or two before releasing.
- This is an enormous game, almost 4x the teams & stadiums (compared to Madden). Almost none of the stadiums existed in Madden, this was work from scratch. Same goes for uniforms for each team.
I have seen several bugs in CFB25 that were present in Madden 22/23 that have been subsequently fixed in 24/25 (mainly around coop). My guess is that they started with a build of Madden 22 and built CFB from there.
Re: Features That Need to Return From Old College Football Games
My honest opinion is much like madden they need to severely step up the presentation package overall.
Things that also need added as a few have stated already weather (Dynamic)
Bring back the studio set from NCAA 06
SI Magazines
Custom stadium sounds
Creation Of Signs that you could do in NCAA 06
Greatest Games
And lastly I'd love to see the inclusion of Classic teams using all the Alumni from each school that are currently in Madden since they are licensed by NFLPA
