I actually wished Roman beat Rock's *** to assert his role again.

Rock all of a sudden being nice to Cody, nothing with Roman, like not what people expected. It's like they tied all the loose ends together once Rock likely told them he wouldn't be able to do Mania this year.

Heyman partially joked about it but was also serious, does WWE get any sort of Emmy consideration being on Netflix or do they continue to be treated as the "Red headed stepchild of sports/entertainment"?

I believe the producer that came from ESPN got in some big trouble for some sort of Emmy voting scheme so WWE wining any while he is there is probably not in their future

            lol no

Wrestling storylines aren’t actually worthy of awards so that’s a dead end.

The acting, while sometimes good by wrestling standards, generally sucks. It’s hidden by wrestling having its own style of speaking/line delivery though. Not winning anything there.

Production takes a ‘more is more’ approach and blasts you in the eyeballs with everything they possibly can. That’s not bringing home a trophy.

Maybe there’s a super technical award that doesn’t get any publicity that they can target though.

              Rock addressed it on SD.

He made fun of the fans a bit. Saying how fans last year hated how he was "mean to Cody" and now the same fans are hating how he's "nice to Cody"

But he also says not to worry, he's "20 steps ahead".

Building up the guy you're about to go after perhaps?

This is exactly why he said it. Not because he's building the guy up like you said, he said it to create speculation. He said it for you to wonder what he meant by it

I thought it just came off like him trying to backtrack after they closed the book on Rock vs Cody last night.

Agreed. I would’ve rather seen him than CM Punk and Seth on the show. Ugh…I didn’t want to see Hogan or Cena talking forever either. Rhea’s moment was dope though. Taker being there added very little, especially as the ABA version. He’s always been my fav, but it was underwhelming how he’s been used lately post retirement.

That's what Roman said in a way too.

He was asked about a possible Rock vs Roman match this year given the plans were supposed to be them last year.

Roman said he's not commenting because he wants the speculation to continue and him saying yes or no will kill all the speculation so he's leaving it open ended.

Buddy Matthews trying to win a match with a curb stomp

AEW does use big moves as common moves way too often though between the styles clash, curb stomp, tombstone and others, it doesn't feel special when its just another move.

Ospreay calling him Buddy Murphy and the audio has to censor his mic.

                          Raw got 5m viewers globally.

Not sure if that's a good or bad number. They did about 2.5m in the US alone.

Makes me wonder what is viewership for streaming elsewhere.

Does India or China or anywhere else like that have big numbers on Netflix? I believe for NBA in China I think I read before they do more viewers than in the US?

Or do people exaggerate how well something should do? Raw at 2.5m viewers was the #1 show on Netflix. But if Netflix has as many subscribers as they have, what is everyone watching if 2.5m is the top show on it? It must be very spread out across the thousands of other shows/movies then?

It doesn't seem like a great number, but for Netflix it is a live event with ads, so maybe that's more valuable to them then people watching one of their horrible movies. That 2.5M will likely go way down after the first few weeks. If it drops down to the numbers that they were getting on USA, I'm not sure if that would disappointing or surprising at all. Who knows what Netflix expects or will require of the show.

                              Guess the rumors are true.

HHH isn't a fan of the 3 man booths and Graves is staying on NXT until McAfee goes back to football.

Still some getting used to not having WWE on TV. I keep checking my DVR recordings wondering why there's no scheduled recordings for WWE.

WM41: Reigns vs Cody, Thrice in a Lifetime?

Or is CM Punks favour that he wants to go one on one with the Tribal Chief with Heyman as Punks Wiseman as the main event of Wrestlemania Night 1?

The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking WM would be:
Punk vs Roman (Heyman in Punks corner as per the favour)

Cena vs Gunther for the WHC (Cena wins the elimination chamber to become the #1 contender)

Orton vs Cody for the WWE Title (Orton returns and wins the rumble which sets up the story of "does he face Gunther and get his revenge, or does he go after his friend?")
