EA had exclusive rights to all the majors going into their last game, but seems to have lost them, since PGA 2K25 will have The PGA, the US Open, and The Open Championship.
As for The Masters, the current situation is really unknown...EA may still have exclusive rights to it, or the rights might be more than 2K is willing to pay (at this time, anyway). Perhaps 2K could be working with Augusta to get the Masters in at a later date? No one's really sure.
One very possible scenario is 2k purchased the rights from EA for the majors in agreement with the majors themselves. IF that’s the case, wouldn’t surprise me if Augusta said no thanks, we don’t want to be passed around company to company. Wouldn’t surprise me at all

The last time EA had the Masters license in the early 2010s, they had it for 3 years before losing it when it moved front Tiger to Rory as the games main player (coincidence, nothing to do with player change). Curious if this was a 3 year deal as well.
