Greetings everyone.

EDIT: I have named the Original Xbox Rosters for NCAA Football 2003.

I am uploading my entire save files for this game, which include my settings for CPU vs CPU play and Human vs CPU settings

My next project will be to create missing players, such as Larry Fitzgerald, Aaron Rodgers and so forth based on NCAA 2004-2006 information. Some players don't make it into the game until their Red Shirt Junior year, but are important players for their given schools. Some schools have only 9 or fewer underclassmen and only 44/55 players on their roster, which puts them in a bad spot in Dyansty mode, as you won't have a good team with only 9 or fewer upper classmen in two years, and only like 3 seniors in year 4.

EDIT: I am reserving this post as a change log and way to share my custom roster edits - as a separate save file named "Edited".

I have a new approach to editing these rosters. Just directly taking inspiration from NCAA 2004 has not worked out as well as I had hoped, and I aim to learn more.


I want to see how the default named roster of players import into Madden 2003 - not that this is the most important thing, but I do like the cross play between games. I want to know that I can follow the career of a player or players I like into Madden, and have some idea of what to expect. Such as physical ratings versus intangible ratings.


EDIT: Apparently Madden 2003 doesn't recognize imported draft classes on the original xbox. I have the correctly saved files, but Madden says there are no files.

Why 2003 for xbox why not ps2 and/or any other ncaa game? Plus, i know how to convert rosters to and from xbox and ps2

If you have PS2 NCAA 2003 rosters and can directly convert them to an original xbox file, then please do so and share. FairDaleKings rosters have been lost/corrupt going back at least to 2014, as I have seen people unable to use them since then.


As far as why Xbox: I am not rich. I don't have a powerful gaming desktop computer that can emulate PS2 games at 1080 or 4k or whatever that other people can do, but I do have the three major consoles of that era [PS2/XBox/Gamecube] and I personally feel that sports games have the best performance and controls on the Xbox.


Just the controller alone, I prefer the stick placement, actual triggers, and the version 2 Black/White button placement when playing football where I can rock the knuckle of my thumb vs 4x shoulder buttons and so forth.


The original Xbox supports full motion replays in 2k5, which the PS2 did not and only gave a slideshow. I am no expert, but there is a feature to force HD from the MS Dashboard and the EA Sports games look significantly better on the xbox than anything I can get out of my PS2.


Even old IGN reviews go into detail about how Xbox has the better sound output/support as well. My surround sound setup certainly sounds great with the college music and big hits.



I use my hard drive space on my modified PS2 for RPGs and the many great exclusive titles. I am not hating and love all of the consoles, but if there was a sports game on all of them, I found the Xbox version to be the superior iteration.

I will do it right now, but - from memory - that is a corrupt file, which is why there are so many posts going back as far as 2014 begging for 03 rosters.


EDIT: Yes. "Unable to load Roster."

Regarding "thetechgame," you will notice that I have the lone comment about how it fails to load the file going back to Sat. Jan 07, 2023.

I don't understand what is going on.


I move the file with Filezilla, like I do with all my games and I did with the roster files for the other NCAA games without any problems.


This Gagon roster file fails to load.


I access and download my E/UDAT/4541001d folder, but it is telling me that it is failing to download specifically the roster files.

I tried backing up my entire UDAT folder and it exclusively gave errors for my NCAA 03 roster files. It kept saying the file already existed, even when sent to new file location and when deleted and so forth. It just refuses to backup the file in any shape or form, and it fails to recognize the Gagon roster file in game.


It recognizes the file in Filezilla and in the Xbosh dash file explorer, but not in game.


I fear that, even if/when I finish this, I can't ever share it.

I have PS2 NCAA 03 rosters on my Downloads page.

Al, I have no idea what to do with a .max file type. I do a search and nothing online helps me either. the only results I get are:

The MAX file format is the native format used when saving and loading scenes in 3ds Max. A MAX file contains all scene elements, including geometry, materials, lights, cameras, animation, and so on. However, it does not contain files that externally referenced by the scene, such as XRefs and bitmap images.
