I have to say. This is the least hyped I've been for a Superbowl since the Eagles and Patriots in 2005.

At least that one had the will Owens play or not question. Remember being surprised he not only played, but played very well.

Probably because everyone's sick of the Chiefs bull**** and the Eagles are incredibly uncompelling with their Madden cheeser mode cookie cutter boring *** play style.

I may not even have a cheat meal for the Super Bowl. That's never happened.

Well as an Eagles fan, I’m looking forward to this game lol. I can get those who don’t like Sirriani because of his past antics(he dialed it back big time after bye week), don’t like the Brotherly Shove/tush push, don’t like how bland the pass offense can be. Or they rather had the Washington or Detroit storyline instead of another rematch, or they feel the KC is just going to find some way to win games like they have all year

I like Philly’s chances. As long as they they play the way they have been, they should have real shot. A lot of strength on strength matchups on both sides. But, KC’s last 7 games their Run D hasn’t been great and they have never faced Saquon in his career. KC loves to play Press, if you play press against Philly, they will check to a Go ball. On defense, Philly doesn’t really have anyone you can pick on in coverage like what they had. A lot of the misdirection plays don’t work like they used to. Only clear weakness is Jake Elliot. If they can prevent turnovers/win TO battle, win TOP, limit Mahomes improv plays, I think Eagles can win this

If you stripped the logos off the helmets and analyzed the matchup on paper only, Philly should have a clear edge. And then you're sitting there four hours later with a 3 point loss wondering wtf happened. Been there.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

You can honestly say that about the last Superbowl matchup between them. On paper, Philly had the edge. Take away the Hurts fumble for a TD, or the big punt return in 4th, or the missed AJ Brown DPI, and Philly might have won. Took a while to get over that game because it's a game they shot themselves in the foot..

Teams do that all the time against dynasties. Marlon McCree catching a 4th down INT instead of swatting it away, John Kasay kicking the ball out of bounds, throwing on the 1 yard line, Matt Ryan getting strip-sacked when all they needed was to run clock, etc. The last time KC lost a big game on an unforced error was Dee Ford lining up offsides, and they've won 3 of the 5 Super Bowls since then.

FWIW DVOA has you pegged a 59.1% chance of beating KC

Personally if I was on KC roster the last 3 years. I would retirement or play one more year and call it. They could do something No team has done. I keep being shocked no one has done this.

In a single game elimination, the better team doesn't always win. Like you said, all it can take is an early mistake and you lose all momentum and play from behind. Philly really hasn't played much from behind all year, especially in the 4th like Chiefs have. The Saints, first Wash game, and the Panthers were the only games that Philly were down in the 4th. Philly is built to play with a lead. The best gameplan to beat Philly isn't from any of the three loses they have. 2 of the losses were on late wide open drops that would've sealed the game. The other was Bucs punking them, but that was without AJ & Lane Johnson, and before DeJean was in the lineup. The best way to Philly is the Panther's gameplan. Panthers had long sustaining drives and scored TDs, and made it an ugly Hurts passing game. They were an wide open drop at the one yard line away from winning that game. Maybe the first half of the Bucs game as far as getting an early lead and forcing Philly to pass. Philly has had a tendency to not focus on the run until the 2nd half.

Definitely worry about the exotic blitzes and Chris Jones moving around the line. Hurts has been better this year against blitz. But, they have had games where they allowed free blitzers. One difference with Philly is that they don't help or shade to their tackles. Johnson-Milata can handle one on one, so if Jones lines up on them, they won't help or chip. Also, Hurts doesn't attack the middle of field and it's well known. So, I imagine KC to force everything inside. The most important thing facing Philly offense is forcing 3rd and long. If it's third and 4 or less, it almost always becomes a 4 down situation because of Brotherly Shove.

For me, its the last game. I want to see Barkley get 25+ carries and get the trio of Goddert/Smith/Brown involved. I don't want to see Kellen Moore pull a Shanahan and get cute with playcalling because he has a HC job lined up. Hurts can pass for 150 yards or less and people claiming that he was carried. If they win, that's all that matters

Great, one of the most hated matchups of all time with perhaps the worst scorebug in history.
