Main reason is because of developer money (building a dozen condos is more valuable than a movie theatre), but it also goes to show how much things have died out. You'll still always see cars in the parking lot, but it's almost like things will go back in time where there's no need for standalone movie theatres with dozens of screens/VIP lounge and arcades and all that stuff, but instead we'll just have more theatres in malls with fewer screens and certain movies only airing a few times a day for a shorter period of time.

I've seen four movies this week lol.
