    Biggest Busts in Baseball?

Alright everyone, in your opinion which player or prospect was the biggest bust in the sport? My vote goes to Josh Hamilton.

        Brien Taylor.

I would have said Todd Van Poppel, but at least Todd made the majors and turned into a somewhat servicable pitcher, albeit nowhere near the hype he got.

                  Sounds almost like Terrance Long.

Yeah same kinda player, but grieve was awesome at college, but just never really made it. They actually had an article in the paper about him last month.

Wasnt it that Jones guy who pitched in college for CS Fullerton or Pepperdine?

Biggest bust...hmmm, so many. Ive been hearing about Angel Guzman for so long it seems like he must be 30 by now. I guess Mouton (the power hitting dude the Yankees drafted out of LSU) might be one. Id say Brien Taylor though primarily because he was given the big contract out of HS. I guess Henson might also qualify similarly.

Rick Ankiel, so much promise... so little realized.

Brien Taylor was the first guy I thought of.

The Braves had a guy in the 80's, Brad Komminsk, he was supposed to be a 'can't miss' guy...

I agree about Ankiel. So much talent....it was horrible what happened to him.

What about J.D. Drew? He was so hyped when he was coming up and hasn't really done anything as of yet.

By the way, one of the mid-90s Mets 'Young Guns' was Bill Pulsipher...
when I was playing at DVC Brien Taylor was drafted number 1 and my friend was drafted in the 2 round. I had scouts looking at me, but passed me up because I still wanted to play football lol. Oh well, if that is the guy the yanks drafted in 91. My fiend was actually drafted it out of high school same year Chris gambs, he was getting as much hype as Taylor around in the Bay Area,
