Sorry to tell you bud, but unless you can hook the 360 up to XBL, I doubt there will be a way for you to get the patch. When the patch if released, if I were you, I'd call EA and explain your situation. Maybe they'll send you out a replacement disc with the fix already implemented.

This is how they solved the NCAA Draft Class bug of a few years ago. Eventually, the fixed versions were the ones being sold in retail. I'm sure the same will be the case with this bug.
