There are 2 things that I am angry about when it comes to the SS mode one of them is a glitch and the other isn't the glitch problem is if say for example you set the sub in and sub out sliders at 83/88 the simmed use that setting but in the games that you play only your team uses the sub in and sub out sliders that you set while the cpu plays of the default sub in and sub out sliders.. the only other thing that I have to complain about in this game is the SS mode their is no way to control the amount of attempts the CPU RBS get during the season like their is in franchise mode,and the amount of attempts the cpu rbs get a game is ridiculious.

my major problem (with the current gen xbox version) is that between most plays, i get a half-second to two-second delay or stutter. it seems to happen primarily in rainy conditions, and also it seems to happen more often when i'm on defense than offense.

i've blown compressed air inside the drive to possibly dislodge some dust. i've also got my xbox sitting on some thin plastic rails to get complete air circulation (so i don't think it's heat).

anyone else seem to get this problem, and does anyone know of a solution?

I've experienced the slight delay on the current-gen Xbox version as well. It happens to me after choosing a play on either offense or defense (not all the time), but surprisingly, it doesn't affect the play-by-play audio, which plays just fine thru the "hiccup". I've looked at other message boards and it seems to be an erratic problem that pops up in the other console versions as well from time to time. Guess it's just a programming glitch.

The biggest problem I'm having involves downloaded rosters. If I download certain updated rosters, I can't use them in SS mode. With some rosters, the game will freeze going to the body shape screen, after the personal info screen. With other rosters, the mode performs just fine. Is there some sort of roster glitch that affects SS mode or Franchise mode? I haven't tried them in Franchise, but I've tried 4-5 different downloaded rosters with SS mode and the same 2 cause the game to freeze while the others work fine every time.

And finally (this may not be a glitch), has anyone noticed that the highlight stick reacts just a fraction of a second slower than in Madden 06? It seems more realistic, but I just wondered if anyone else noticed that...

Alright I have a glitch that i haven't read about yet which is whenever you are in rookie workout mode in the draft options and you go through working out a player and you get a gold trophy which unlocks a rookie's scoutiong report, well when you go to see the rookies scouting report the game freezes up. ANyone else have this happen to them or noticed this ? and if so does anyone know how to fix this ?

EA/Madden's inherent problem is that they keep adding new half-baked "enhancements" without actually redoing the code/programming engine itself. it's like putting in a new intake, fuel injection, etc. into a mediocre car but not changing the engine. No matter what it's still the same at it's core...not only that but some of the 'add-ons' might not be entirely compatible with the other 'add-ons', thus even more convoluted glitches. And here i was thinkin that the game freezing on you while doing off-season cuts/trades would be the worst of it (this was a few years ago and STILL not fixed). All these added modes but no change to core gameplay is just utter laziness.

well, while i'm at it:

#1) a glitch i've encountered a few times while playing against a friend in Madden 07.
it's 4th and long and i've elected to punt...
next thing you know the ball is somehow snapped without me even going through the kick accurracy/power motions...
the punter gets the snap and just stands there.
BOOM. he gets tackled.

botched punt...wonderful.

since kicking this year is done via right analog stick, me accidentally pressing a button to snap the ball can't be the reason...and if is IS, then that's total crap cuz a help menu is supposed to come up which TELLS YOU to use the stick. Either way it's a botched punt.

no bueno EA Sports...no effin bueno.

Action Replay and 2Ksports forever.

Go into your PS2 system setup and change your screen from 4:3 to 16:9. Madden seems to automatically detect this and will adjust accordingly. This happened to me yesterday, and I was able to fix it.

I just bought Madden 07 for the PS2 and i did exactly this in setup and my screen says 4:3 and 480i. I don't get it. My tv goes up to 1080p and this game is showing in 480i. Is anyone getting a better resolution?

I finally got urked with this. When the receivers make a route to the sideline, the QB throws the ball to the open receiver and he keeps running out of bounds for an incomplete pass. PS2.

I just bought 07 and have been playing around with Owner mode. After the Super Bowl in season 2 the game it freezes and will not go to the pro bowl. Does anyone know what causes this?

i am in my second off season for madden 07 on the original xbox. when i go to scout potential draft picks, the game freezes. i am sure i can skip this part and continue with my franchise, but i like to scout players before drafting them. does anybody know what causes this and how I can solve this problem without starting a new frachise? I have the same issue, and I don't know what the problem is, sadly...
